"Masked Man, Question" Posted by Chatter on 06:30:35 3/10/2001 Did Barnhill happen to say (1)which direction the walker was coming from, (2) if John Andrew normally would wave or shout a greeting, (3) and if the walker who so resembled JAR cut across the yard from the front sidewalk to the family's usual back entrance? (4) Or did he go to the front door, and (5) did he go back in the same direction, on the sidewalk, or go in? (6) Was walking JAR's normal mode of transportation? I thought I read that he had a car. (7) Was very proud of his half sister, but that was before the very shocking sexiness of her act was added, and college buddies were calling her a whore. How embarrassed do you think he was? (8) Do you have any idea where JAR is now, if he's married or anything, and why he (rumor) went to work as a busboy for PastaJay for a while, (after the murder?) After Nedra's funeral, PR's sister is rumored to have said JAR's in the Atlanta area but grieving. (9) Did he finish college? (10) Have you seen the Denver airport underground art gallery mentioned in "Daddy's Little Princess" at konformist site? A friend of mine went there recently for a convention and said nobody'd heard of it. But that there are art galleries around. Does a character in one of the murals really look exactly like JonBenet? (11) If you talked to Barnhill again, might he remember if the walker who so resembled JAR acted like him? (12) Barnhill hasn't lost his wife since then, or anything that might further affect his faith in his own memory ability? Thanks in advance, for any answers. One day while I was looking around at WS, I noticed that MM and Adam had very distinct writing styles(although they had different opinions on who did what concerning the R's). MM and Adam always --did this-- when they want to draw your attention to what they are saying. I pointed this out to Adam, and after denying he was indeed MM, he stopped using --this-- from that point on. Adam also called me names and made references to my hat, just like MM used to do. IMO, MM can change his hat, but he can't change the way he acts (or writes for that matter). So anyway, you might want to post at CS and see if you get an answer from Adam. Of course I could be wrong(wouldn't be the first time), but I think it was really odd how Adam seemed to make an effort to change his writing style. The bottom line: I am glad that MM/Adam isn't posting here. Lacey: Ditto... [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 6. "tinky..." "WOR works for me, Chris..." Posted by Dunvegan on 15:54:19 3/11/2001 ...I've been wondering if ever since JR whalloped MM during his "paparazzi ambush", that Frank may be suffering from brain damage...which has lead to a virulent case of "Stockholm Syndrome." Frank's certainly changed his tune since February 2000. The whole story...for those who missed it the first time is at the Brill's Content article at: http://www.brillscontent.com/2000feb/features/benet3.shtml "...Boulder gadfly named Frank...Coffman, 52, is something of a town crier in the saga. A resident of Boulder for more than 20 years, he once lived a quiet life making Halloween masks and writing occasional columns for a Boulder weekly newspaper. But that was before his town's serenity was rocked by the murder of a little girl. As an accident of proximity, Coffman says, he became entangled in the case. On December 11, 1998, in his downtown Boulder apartment, which looks like a graduate student's crash pad, Coffman's phone rang. John Ramsey's standing on a street corner by your apartment right now! cried the caller. Coffman took the cue: He snatched a camera and dashed out the door. Coffman saw Ramsey standing on the street corner with his son, a friend, and one of Ramsey's lawyers; with his heart pounding, Coffman raised his camera, aimed, and fired. Ramsey wasn't pleased to see Coffman with his camera hoisted. "He attacked me," Coffman says, claiming that Ramsey lunged at him and grabbed his jacket before one of Ramsey's attorneys, Michael Bynum, stopped the potential brawl. (Bynum did not return phone calls seeking comment.) "I was not stalking him," Coffman says without being asked. Still, he adds, it's "kind of weird to take a picture of somebody like that. I wouldn't do it to anybody else...but John and Patsy Ramsey are fair game." Despite the scuffle, Coffman snapped a few shots, though the camera's flash didn't go off for the one picture that captured Ramsey allegedly lunging at Coffman. "If that flash had gone off, that would have been a fabulous picture," says Coffman. "It would have made him look so damn guilty. Because people would have said, 'Ah-hah! Here he is. The killer,' " Coffman purrs, adding, "and I don't know that Ramsey killed anybody." Frank's been trying to inject himself into this case since very early on...when the non-Ramsey side didn't take him seriously, it seemed he then "passed over" to the Ramsey side. "Masked Man" indeed...Frank's a little to quick on his "Trigger", if you know what I mean.... Hmmm...that was pretty =^.^=y, too.... Yep. WOR works for me! [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 17. "Lurker" Posted by tinky on 15:24:24 3/12/2001 thanks for the nice compliments. I have always tried not to be nasty (but, if I am pushed against a wall, I do come out fighting! hehe). I don't care one way or the other how many hats someone has, but when Adam showed up on the scene (right after Skydog lifted all bans), he seemed very well informed about things for a "newbie." Not that even that bothers me much, but when he started saying below the belt things to me when I objected to Robin's treatment of Bob (after the death of Delta), and then Robin's use of what I considered a vulgar word, it crossed my mind more than once that this "Adam" was someone who had a personal vendetta against me. It really was just a pure accident that I saw the similarities in his(Adam's) and MM's posts at WS. Adam had been --drilling-- us with some info, and at that time his posts were --loaded with these--, just like ole MM's at WS. Funny how when I mentioned this, Adam stopped --doing this--! As for your stalker, it could very well be him. Some people need to get a grip on their lives. If they have time to "stalk" us, then they are leading pretty pitiful lives, would't you say? All I know is, if what I said has gotten "Adams" panties in a wad, then he must indeed be Masked Moron. Otherwise, why would he care? Also, he could very well be here. But more likely, someone here is relaying what we say to him. And I have a real good idea who that person is. As for you Lurker, I have enjoyed reading your posts through the years. They are insightful and well thought out. I am no threat to anyone (not even the dust-bunnies in my house!). I treat people like I would like to be treated. I have been known to go off the deep end, but only after being pushed there in the first place. I hope MM/Adam and whoever are enjoying themselves over at CS, because I will not let them get to me!! Could be wrong, but i don't think so. It's easy for posters to pick up punctuation quirks from each other. I'm probably the first person who brought the dots (...) into the forum ... to separate thoughts in my posts, because I got ragged on for it by a few who were just looking for something to yell about. Now, a lot of folks do it, and I think that's simply because it makes for easier understanding. Certainly, I've picked up things from other posters, too. Straight, academically approved punctuation and grammar have never been totally adaquate for forum posts. We tend to communicate more as if we're speaking to each other than as if we're dealing with hard correspondence. So, it doesn't seem all that important to me that Adam and MM both set off words with dashes. Long ago (and far away) on J-7, desaix started highlighting emphasized words like *this*. Soon, most of us were doing it because we didn't have html and all caps has always been considered rude. That went on until somebody said "please stop that", bcause their vision was poor and the asterisks were giving them a headache. Of course we "stopped that" immediately (hard to remember now, but folks were actually considerate then, not concerned with one-upmanship). Anyway, that's a good example of how personal preference can spread, if it's thought to be helpful. And whatsmore, I doubt the Z poster is slinky. Even if she is, she seems nice and does not appear to be doing any harm and, anyway, it's not this forum. If we don't like people coming over here and tearing us apart, what's with doing the same to other people/other places? Makes no sense to me. He also used a radio scanner to listen in on the cellular phone calls of former Ramsey friend Fleet White, overhearing him on one occasion tell his father that the Ramseys were trying to cast him as a suspect in the murder. I think (my) bolded "him" is meant to refer to Fleet White, Jr., not Sr., even though it doesn't grammatically read that way. I do know that the Ramseys had cast suspicions toward Fleet, Jr. quite early in the case. In fact, I think I remember this cell phone call being discussed, and the thought was that the Ramseys suspected Fleet White, Jr. I may be wrong about this. Does anyone else remember? It wasn't so much, --this-- that made me think Adam was MM, but more his attitude with me. I really didn't know Adam and had no reason to dislike him (I tend to lurk anyway, and I don't think I ever posted anything to him), but his put-downs to me were downright personal, like someone who had an axe to grind with me. Why would he make an obvious effort to change this if he isn't MM? The thing is, I don't really care who is who and how many hats a person has. What does bother me is when a hat comes after me for no real reason. I simply stated how I felt about a subject, and Adam started calling me names (among other things, in typical MM fashion). I guess it isn't just one thing that points me in the MM direction, but a number of things. In the end, I really don't give a flying fig who Adam is. He is rude. Plain and simple. As for the...I have done that myself for years, and try as I might, I can't seem to change my writing style. :) The thing is, people can change hats, but writing style is hard to change. Sure one can copy anothers writing traits, but other things enter into the equation. I still believe he is MM. But, as I have said before I have been known to be wrong (just don't tell my kids this though!). Oh well...Adam is a jerk, as is MM. Maybe they were twins separated at birth... Hey, when are you going to write your book? You know... the big expose of the figure-skating racket? I think it would make a great movie, like that satirical movie about Australian ballroom dancing, "Strictly Ballroom". It's one of my favorites. I split my sides laughing at the judges every time I see it. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 29. You've always seemed very likeable to me. " Posted by Chatter on 06:29:35 3/14/2001 NOTE: This message was last edited 06:29:35, 3/14/2001 I decided my question was just too long anyway, but I've printed out your post for future reference about how to copy and paste, in case I ever want to do it. I'm one of the many who forum-surf a lot when I have time, probably not getting everything from each one, but Rose keeps us pretty well posted at Shesherre's, if I miss anything important. Already did repost my question at WS, and he actually finally answered, what I feared, Barnhill didn't pay any attention to whether the Walker went inside, went back in the direction he came from, or what. Back to square one. Is MM friends with Jeff Shapiro? Since both are journalists, (and I realize JS wouldn't do it for free, would sell an article to the tab) I wonder if one or both of them would know how to still get interviews with neighbors w/out getting arrested or anything. Don't know if I should ask, hoping they'll think of it themselves. BTW, yes, I also noticed he seems to have a problem. Usually strikes out at anyone and I was ready, tho' I'm harmless like Tinky, a tiger only when pushed way too far. I'm still wondering why he took so long to answer me, until finally I made the Q. very short and just said something about avoiding me right in the subject line, that it's just a quick one. Why, why, why? It couldn't have been just that I used too many words. Cutter and others do very long posts in discussions with MM. You are right, they must not have any other concerns...A few(? not sure how many, since I don't read there anymore), sure have their panties in a wad, don't they? As for my skating adventures, well....I like writing mysteries. I have way too many friends in the skating world to write a tell-all. Not long ago, I volunteered at a big skating competition. Not much has changed. The coaches are still money grubbing slugs. I did hear a story about a male coach who was recently caught having sex with one of his young skaters(not the first time), and he has been banished from the sport(he may even be facing a prison sentence). This guy was one of the top skaters here in the US(a long time ago, but I doubt many would even recognize the name if I posted it, which I can't anyway). Of course, I about shit when I heard this story, beause my daughter spent a summer with him as her coach(When he coached her, I knew nothing of his past..and I was furious when I started hearing the stories later on). I was always with them, and she was young(I guess he likes them 14-18), and I would never allow my youngster to travel alone with a coach. This is where he had access to these girls. They lived with him(and his wife) and he took the girls to the International stuff and she took the younger ones to the US competitions. Needless to say, she kicked his ass out. It just gives me the willies thinking about it all. And of course these poor young girls. His latest is sure he "loves" her. I would fix him so he would be of no use to a woman if he messed with my kid. I have not seem "Strictly Ballroom." Sounds funny, I will have to check it out... I'll try to bring you up to date on this thread because I sympathize with the fact that you were trapped in a meeting for much of the day. Tinky, (also known as "slinky" to those of you who weren't aware of this), posted about her suspicions that "Adam" is really that old onery fart, MM who used to post here on the forum. His greatest supporter in those days was a poster named "Jan" who claimed to have a spouse who was confined to a wheelchair and she ran a day-care center for a living. She was running back and forth to Boulder interviewing sources close to the investigation and busily posting "pass the hat" threads here trying to raise funds for questionable characters involved in the JBR case. Guess her husband was left to feed, diaper and watch over the day care kids while she was busy kissing MM's butt and hanging on his every word. You with me now? She left the forum at about the same time MM did but I suspect that she is still here posting under the hat of ??? BTW, Did you know that St. Catherine of Genoa was known for her extraordinary virtue in tending to abandoned plague victims? She had an unusual method for treating the bubos (of bubonic plague).
