First again remember this IS a tabloid Take it with a grain of salt, secondly how does this story equate with lying? They said they did not know that Burke was awake and only found out that he pretended to be asleep after he had testified before a grand jury. So how does that equate to them lying? They thought he was asleep and to the best of their knowledge he was. I see nothing sinister in revealing this, nor do I see it different from what they testified too [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 11. "head for the archives" Posted by fly on 13:44:13 3/22/2001 Let's keep in mind there is a difference between lying and giving information that you do not realize is false. Sure, it is very possible that the Ramseys lied to police about Burke, and this is a "fix-it" version. It is also possible that what they say here is true: they didn't know Burke was awake until the GJ. Now quit laughing - it is possible. If you want evidence that this is just a "fix-it," you might go looking for an occasion between Burke's GJ appearance and this interview when they denied Burke was awake. Did they say that during any of the interviews associated with DOI or the lawsuits? Saying Burke's voice isn't on the tape isn't good enough, unless they say, "because he was asleep at the time." That "tears in his eyes" line is interesting, I agree. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 15. Remember, just because WE are discussing this, doesn't mean that it is on the minds of others. I don't expect them to issue a news release saying, "We goofed! He WAS awake!" (just look at the reaction now). I would expect them to come clean if asked, or if they were commenting on Burke's actions that morning, however. "Burke: Asleep or not asleep?" Posted by Ellique on 14:10:11 3/22/2001 I have always wondered how Burke could have slept through all of that commotion when his parents got up that morning. I have asked this question many times: How does his being awake at that time impact on who murdered the child? The important question seems to be was he awake during the murder of the child. Now, that sort of information would indeed be enlightening. I venture to say that he was not, therefore the Inquirer story is, at best, a non-story really. Someone please enlighten me as to why his being awake during the commotion that morning helps in the investigation. Before this thing is all over there will be many many other insignificant senarios come to light that have to be explained. God help me if I ever have to remember every little detail during such an event. I probably would have even forgotten my name for a week or two. Posted by janab on 14:00:08 3/22/2001 NOTE: This message was last edited 14:00:08, 3/22/2001 From the Enquirer story: #1 "When asked when Burke woke up, John said it was after Patsy discovered the ransom note shortly after 5:30 a.m." #2 "Then he quickly changed his answer to say Burke woke up after the 911 call." #3 "But then John changed his story again, calling The ENQUIRER as we went to press to say that Burke was awake BEFORE the 911 call." ~~~~ One of these was a lie, right? Or, he just couldn't remember that he'd learned from Burke's testimony that he was really awake? Or, he couldn't remember that he'd already said that Burke was awake? Or, he remembered that he said Burke was awake at some point that morning, but couldn't remember at what time he said he was awake and who he was speaking to when he said it? Hmmm... "I smell crow cooking.Lol" Posted by Starling on 14:03:08 3/22/2001 John Ramsey is the biggest f****** liar on this planet. I can't believe what I'm reading. I keep thinking someone is going to say 'oh early April fools, star.'LOL So the tape is right on. Patsy is still sticking by, her story, she didn't see Burke nowhere in the vicinity after the phone call - yet now John (biggest liar on this planet) admits to a visual of the kid, after knowingly and deliberately lying to police for all these years: "Burke was frightened. He had tears in his eyes. He knew something very very wrong was going on." He sees a frightened child and then yells at him. It's a fact Jack! John Ramsey is pure evil. I feel it from the depths of my soul. What I get from this article: 1. Even though it says John and Patsy change their story about Burke being awake, I'm reading it's only John whose story is changing. Sounds like Patsy is just going with the flow, with what originated from Burke testifying. 2. Not telling Jeff was given guardianship of Burke. If involved, this proves to me that John had a real fear of going to jail also. 3. Prim, proper, Patsy in purple. John weary is shortsleeves. 4. John changed his story 3 times to a tab reporter. 5. John changed his story 3 times to a tab reporter. 6. John changed his story 3 times to a tab reporter. LOL 7. Pitty pat my a$$. 8. Patsy is a liar. In the croc she said she never considered John being involved in the murder. Now she admits she did consider her hubby was a pedophile. Oh and the story about Nedra sleeping in the same room with JonBenet means zilch to me. If there's the will - there's a way. Try again Patsy. 9. Patsy is also lying about writing with her left hand. She can do it. Legible. 10. "I am in Boulder and walking the alleyways, the alleys behind our home - and just searching and searching and searching. And you know I'll come upon a group of people standing there. And I'll say be careful, be careful, there's someone around here that's killing people. I have that dream over and over." This is a pipedream.Lol JonBenet isn't even in it. I'm surprised Patsy didn't tell the reporter 'and I can here the line in the song America let freedom ring playing in the background.' Lol 11. "She's usually about 2 or 3 years old and I'm holding her," John said, describing the dreams as 'very comforting. I wake up with a very close feeling." Notice his dreams are of her, at a time when she was really like a kid. No make-up, no bleached hair. The real deal. I'm tempted to say a few mean things too, but I won't. But I should. Maybe he'd sue me. Suey! 12. Patsy knew when Nedra died she would know everything. I find it notable, that Patsy felt compelled to share this. Hmmmmmm.... No, no, no, no! If he read that from a transcript, Burke may have said I was so upset I was crying, but honestly there's no way that Burke described himself to a GJ that he had big tears in his eyes. If John didn't say this deliberately, then it was a slip. Either way it prooves to me - he had a visual on the kid. It's John talking to the kid on the tape. You understand? "Ramsey Stradegy" Posted by Tomahawk on 12:19:07 3/22/2001 The Ramseys have torn this play right out of the Bill Clinton White House playbook! If something bad is going to come out about you.......you hit the press first and make it appear that you are cooperating and being honest. It is pure Clintonian political stradegy. If the Ramseys find that they have to change their story to fit the facts, they run to the Tabs and try to make it look like they just made an honest mistake. These people are dishonest. That crap about never talking to Burke about the death of his sister is simply not believable. The fact is that the Ramseys are not believable. The people who believe them are willfully ignorant and blinded by their own misconceptions about human nature. You truly can fool some of the people all of the time, but that pool of people is getting smaller all the time. Maybe some day the Boulder authorities will realize this and get up the nerve to take the case to court. "Thanks, WY!!" Posted by janphi on 12:27:15 3/22/2001 Huh? "Yeah, he testified to that. We thought he was asleep but he wasn't," said John, who had told police their son slept through the tragedy. Then how in the hell do you know this?.... "Burke was frightened. He had tears in his eyes. He knew something very very wrong was going on." Huh? How is John telling this as if he knew AT THE TIME Burke was crying, if he also says he didn't know Burke was awake till 2-1/2 years later? Huh? *Even though it's almost inconceivable that John and Patsy wouldn't talk to Burke about the murder, they say they didn't find out Burke was awake the morning of the tragedy until he testified before a grand jury nearly two and a half years later! --------- SAINT PATSY'S DAY Cookies? She gave them COOKIES? And they ATE them? And they LIVED? ------- My favorite line: "John, looking weary in shirtsleeves," ------- "Yeah, I worry, you betcha we do," John said with a sigh. "In fact that's one of the risks you have with a child with a traumatic experience like that. "They keep a lot inside and they don't really start thinking about it until they get to be 40 years old and that's when it hurts." ------- When asked when Burke woke up, John said it was after Patsy discovered the ransom note shortly after 5:30 a.m. Then he quickly changed his answer to say Burke woke up after the 911 call. But then John changed his story again, calling The ENQUIRER as we went to press to say that Burke was awake BEFORE the 911 call. John told us: "Burke recalled his mother screaming, "Where's my baby?' and me saying, 'Calm down, calm down, we need to call the police." John Ramsey, you tell me right now, "Where's my baby?" "What did you do with her?" ------ First John described finding JBR's body as something "in a dream" on morning TV...then Patsy says this: "It kind of makes my heart go pitty-pat. I mean right now, I'm feeling like, gosh, this happened to my child." WHAT WAS THIS, A MUNCHAUSEN'S-BY-PROXY CARNIVAL RIDE? ------ She said her mother "came to take care of the kids (when I had cancer). She slept in the othter bed in JonBenet's room. I mean, if John was coming in to molest JonBenet, you know that's not going to happen 'cause Grandma was right there very night." Ah, there was no Susan Stine yet. So, was Grandma the bodyguard of the little beauty queens in the Paugh household, too? ------- "Can I write with my left hand?" "I can- but not very well." Can you tie a Prusik knot? "I can- but not very well." Could you cover up a murder? "I can- but not very well." Do you know how to tell the truth? "I can- but not very well." -------- And I'll say be careful, be careful, there's someone around here that's killing people. And I'll say, IT'S ME! ------ John also has recurring dreams involving JonBenet - but not as a 6-year-old, her age at the time of her death. "She's usually about 2 or 3 years old and I'm holding her," John said, describing the dreams as 'very comforting. I wake up with a very close feeling." WELL, NOW, I JUST WONDER WHY SHE'S ALWAYS PRE-PAGEANT! ------- Chipmunks! "From Scarlett to Aunt Pitty-Pat..." Posted by LurkerXIV on 12:37:57 3/22/2001 ...in 4 and 1/2 years! I'm thinking a couple of things here: The focus of the investigation has shifted from Patsy to John. Patsy is doing some distancing here from John and his earlier statements to police. (Bets...your new theory may be prophetic). Lin Wood, during discovery for the tab lawsuits, has learned what some of the concrete evidence against his clients is. The enhanced tape, e.g., has no doubt been determined to be irrefutable by the defense. So Rams must own up to their prevarications to attain some credibility in the lawsuits (?) Patsy is being prepped for her depositions in the LHP lawsuit. She is practicing on Don Gentile, and seeing how some of this chit will go over with the public. OR: The Rams know somehow that they are home free, and can say any damn thing they want to anyone! "Yes, we were lying about everything all along. You think we did it? PROVE IT!" That remark is just way off the chart! You have to ask yourselves *WHY* would granny stay glued to JB's room every night when there was an empty room nearby. John saying, "All I see is this bus." Ya you betcha! And he forgot to mention all the folks he's obsessed with throwing under it. About Pat's reoccuring dream, and seeing those people in the alley. Remember way back in the beginning, the spin about 2 ladies in the alley? Is this one coming back to haunt us? Does it have to do with some sort of rift amongst some sort of clandestine clan? Maybe Jon dreams of JB being 2-3 yrs old, because it *comforts* him to think that at that time in her life, he was respectful and kind to her,.....before the molestation started. Why do you suppose JR is worried what will happen to him (mentally) when he is 40? I saw a medical detective show the other nite and a kid that saw her dad kill her Mother when she was only 5 years old.. finally turned him in when she was 32. She held that memory inside and knew where he had buried her by the pool and covered her with fresh cement. She was scared of her dad but could not live with knowing the truth and not telling. They dug where she said..and sure enough...they found the bones of her Mother which had been there for so many years. Her dad was now around 60 and went to prison for life for the murder so many years before. When Burke gets older...he will think like an adult and see thru all their lies and mayhaps do right by his little sister. Ramsey's know it is going to come out that Burke was awake ...so they are covering their sorry arses! [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ]
