"DOI Revisited" Posted by JR on 04:03:29 3/26/2000 Let me ask you a question please. If your daughter had been murdered and you wrote a book about the murder and in this book you listed people who needed to be looked at closely, would you then use the picture of one of those people and comingle it with numerous family photos especialy when it is the only non-family member picture in the entire group? Do the Ramsey's honestly expect to persuade people of their innocence by writing a book which makes numerous references to their "visitations" from God, "visions" sent by JonBenet, references indicating their similarities to Pricess Di and Mother Theresa and miracle healing/s? I guess one would expect a religious publisher to desire these things be in that book but how many modern day miracles does one family get? If the Ramseys murdered JonBenet, it is my honest opinion that they have provided adequate detail within this book to hang themselves. They have not however, written anything persasive regarding the "intruder theory," IMHO. The most amazing statement to me in thie whole book is in the chapter on how to protect your children. John says to make sure your photos are yours and keep track of them and basicly to keep your children out of the limelight then turns around and plasters Burke and Melinda's (if there is one of John Andrew showing his face I certainly missed it) pictures in the book. IMHO what is actualy bothering most of us (and this certainly isn't the only thing) is the continual inconsistancy in word and action/s. What a joke. I just mentioned that on the "Hot Pink Insides" thread. I can't remember what #. These people constantly "open mouth, insert foot". I'm with the Ramseys when they say JonBenet is in a better place. She certainly did not belong with them. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 2. "Poor old " Santa " ..." Posted by CynAnne on 13:44:50 3/26/2000 I agree with you , momo ... The Ramseys keep pushing the envelope of ' Look you in the eye & LIE ' to new levels ! Their repeated attacks on poor old Bill McReynolds are shameful , and not in the least bit " Christian " , IMO . And they've gone ' over the top ' now , in their ' religious reverie ' - they sit ABOVE the holy head of Jesus himself ( on the cover of " Newsweek " ) . It sort of makes sense , when you think about it - Patsy doesn't like to play the ' second banana ' , not even to the Son of God ... ! "Fiddler" Posted by JR on 15:14:40 3/26/2000 Do ya think it's possible to "buy" miracles? Wonder how much they cost. "ramdom thoughts" Posted by Dianne E. on 15:46:53 3/26/2000 I swear I could sit here with the book in my lap and type for hours over all the crazy comments: 1) how old was JBR when Beth died, I thought JBR would have been very small? How did the angel or whatever she put on the tree remind her of Beth? 2) What kind of husband and wife team are these people, JohnBoy takes the top job at Access and INFORMS Patsy of his decision. 3) They hardly speak of money. Since money can sometimes be the #1 reason for divorce, I can hardly imaging a "couple" not discussing it or rarely as they say. 4) Jay the gun slinger DID have a criminal past, to hear Patsy tell the story, she says because of protecting them he now has a criminal record? say What? 5) Patsy fails to mention that Burke was shuffled around staying with others while she is waxing on and on about the fear for themselves and Burke? 6) the "plan" to get photos outside the church is the funniest part. Give the media a chance to take photos and then they will go away, ha ha, kinda like handing live bait to a shark and thinking it will swim away without going after your legs. "JR" Posted by Pope38 on 16:02:09 3/26/2000 One of my favorites is Patsy taking the credit for her sister Polly's labor. "I just new she had gone into labor because she was so upset about my cancer." Patsy is the center of the universe! All things that happen are because of her. What an attitude problem that woman has. "Page 355" Posted by Shaggy on 19:31:21 3/26/2000 This could be one of those things that hangs them: Patsy is describing what is going on at her parent's home the morning of the 26th, before JonBenet was found. Her brother in-law was reading the Bible, others were discussing aspects of JonBenet's death and her sister was walking around with angels and having a vision of JonBenet being happy and ok. Then the phone rang and they were told JonBenet had been found dead. WHAT? People were talking of the different aspects of JonBenet's death, BEFORE THEY KNEW SHE WAS DEAD! "JR--I don't know if" Posted by fiddler on 20:15:41 3/26/2000 it's possible to buy miracles (at least in Ramseyville)--I think Patsy's belief is kind of the other way around. You know, like with the Puritan belief that worldly riches is a sign of God's favor, a sign that YOU are among the elect. I find it really strange that Patsy ascribes so many actions to God. Wouldn't she be wary that some, at least, would be from Satan? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 13. "Thank God that Martin Luther..." "Fools" Posted by Hyacinth on 22:12:41 3/26/2000 I used to think that the Ramseys HAD to be guilty, because if an intruder had killed JonBenet, for them to have behaved the way they did (after the murder), they would have had to be the biggest most complete, idiots in the world. . . I mean, I kept thinking that NO ONE could have been as stupid as they were right down the line . . . contaminating crime scenes left and right, not going to the police station whenever they were asked to, going on CNN, etc. etc. The ironic thing is that the more I see John and Patsy Ramsey, and hear the way they think, the more I realize how really stupid they are. Good grief, they call themselves "naive," but really, they are just come across as such huge, pathetic dopes! Someone should make them up some signs that read" "TRUST US, WE REALLY ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO BE INNOCENT." If I ever come around to believing them not guilty, that will be the route. What has always puzzled me is how any "christian" can square this philosphy with Jesus' comment about a rich person having as much chance of going to heaven as a camel going thru the eye of a needle? IMHO, it's either, "I'll make as much money as I can now, and worry about that problem later." Or, "Jesus was just kidding." shadow [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 18. "The Miracle Family" Posted by La Contessa on 11:32:27 3/27/2000 The Paughs on the morning of the 26th knew JBR had been "kidnapped." When Patsy said that Polly said she had the "vision" thing, only JonBenet knew, at that moment, she was dead. Now, when the "vision" thing was happening to Polly, her husband looked up from his bible (naturally, what else?) he saw a glowing aura around his wife. Amazing isn't it that one family should have such direct communication from the Almighty? Patsy has a miracle cure in "stage 4 cancer." A technician who looks just like long-dead Beth gives Patsy the news that the test results show no sign of cancer. Polly has a vision of JBR, in a field of wildflowers, assuring her she's alright when no one, at least not in Atlanta, knew the child was dead. Polly's husband sees an aura around his wife when she's having the JonBenet vision. Pam has some sort of beatific experience that compels her to take JonBenet's talent (?) medal for John. Let's see, have I left any visions or miracles out? If they're really running out of money, they could always start a psychic hotline. "Well, Shadow" Posted by Watching you on 11:24:11 3/27/2000 that's because it is the love of money that corrupts so many wealthy to the extent they can't give up their wealth to live a humble life. I believe there is a story in the Bible where Jesus asks a rich man to give up his wealth and follow Him, but the rich man loves his wealth too much, and he cannot give it up. While listening, again, to the Couric interview, I found it very interesting that JR says he is basically unemployable. I know this family had a great deal of money, but they have also expended an enormous amount of money. Did I hear they considered bankruptcy at one time? Yet, have we seen them give up any of the good life? While complaining that he has no job and no income, they are spending tons of money remodeling their Atlanta home. They do not appear willing to give up any of their plush living, now do they? How can this be justified? Jesus says a rich man who loves his wealth more than he loves God will not be accepted into the Kingom of God. JR claims he is in dire straits, financially. Yet, we can see they still live as wealthy people. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, yes? We of lower-upper middle class status who support families with a yearly income that matches what Patsy spends a month on makeup alone find their story of financial hardship pathetic. To them, however, it probably really is a hardship to have had to give up their Michigan home. Such poverty... They cannot give up their riches; in fact, they have to gain more by writing a book and suing the media to maintain their rich lifestyle. They have grown to love their wealth and all that it can buy. If one asked them tomorrow to give it all up to find their daughter's killer, they couldn't do it. If they had to make a choice tomorrow to give up their wealth in order to make it through that needle's eye, well, I guess we know the answer to that, too. When they thought they had made a deal with their version of Christ, they actually entered into a deal with the devil. That's what happens to people who cling to earthly riches and forget their spiritual obligations. It isn't too late. They know what they need to do. "Riches to Rags," Posted by kdubois2 on 11:59:33 3/27/2000 They say that to go, from rags to riches, is easier than, fromriches to rags. Their are people who believe that money matters more than anything. The Rams are these type of people. Most people who had a child murdered, would rather stay at a motel 6, close to the PD to get all the information about the case. We are not dealing with normal people here. They spent all this time writing a book, that will never turn up a killer, as they claim it will. They wrote this book for money. John was probably board roaming around the house all day , with him being unemployable. Money is truly the root of their evil.
