"Hi all" Posted by Thor on 23:41:26 4/21/2001 It's past midnight here in Nebraska and I'm listening to Art Bell on possession. He's great, of course,I love spooky stuff. Can't wait to see Louse Smit on Katie Couric in May. I've been seeing things on Jams forum indicating that people are speculating on Patsy's cancer returning. Jams said we will need to get out our handkerchiefs when Louse Smit airs his interview. Wonder what would happen if this was the case? Posted by szundi on 01:15:44 4/22/2001 Ginja and mary99 and I have been reading and debating the FW/Plasket thread. And what a thread it is! We want to keep discussing but, Ginja wants to go to sleep. Pooper that she is... mary99 is pro-Nancy, Ginja thinks it's a farce and szundi has done the Tarot re: FW so she knows he is involved. The Pulik have no comment. After rescuing these two intrepid sleuths from leaving NJ and winding up in Staten Island, (let alone Morristown), we had a lovely Turkish dinner and then came here to read and post and discuss. Now, it is time to put them back on the road to Morristown and if today was any indication of their directional prowess, we will never see them again. You can take this any way you want. ;-) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 5. Mrs. TC and I are at the Parssipany Hilton and posting from the hotel room on WebTV. Had a great afternoon in the hotel lounge, and then went to Ruth Chris' steak house for dinner. Just hung around the hotel and room for the rest of the night ... but we found things to do. ;-) Mrs. TC says she's still full from dinner, but I'm ready to do some very serious breakfast buffet eating. 8:00 a.m. here now so I'm watching the clock tick. Posted by Holly on 07:26:22 4/22/2001 Patsy Bingo? Is Chart there? FT? Cher? Lurkers? How many trips have I made to BWI Airport in the decades I've lived here? Maybe 500 or more. But it was the trip from hell when I picked up mary99. We drove and drove and drove in every direction but the right one. The problem is this - mary99 is a serious distraction. Admit it Mary. My advice is to orally restrain mary99 as soon as she exits the terminal. And duct tape does not work. It may sound harsh, but it is necessary. Once you are safely home or at the hotel, let her rip. She is energetic, insightful, well versed on case details, wonderfully well read and easily one of the most caring people at JW. And absolutely no ego. All mary99 wants is a resolution to this case and justice for a little girl. mary99 is irreplacable. Have a great brunch. Hurry back to Szundi's charming suburban home with those cute curly dogs and get online. Try to do this before 3pm. I have to work. And it isn't true so there is something else that we will tear up over. What could that be? Has Nedra contacted Patsy with the answers? Maybe, but I really can't come up with anything other than a life threatening illness in their family that would be upsetting to people, uh, make that real people. I hope you're all having a blast! I'm enjoying the reports but want more, more.... Maybe some yard work today. I'd like to put in a new flower bed in front of the work shop now that the pile of wood is gone. While up in NJ my sister and I went to the flea market. I found the most adorable child-size wrought iron bench. Heavy. Has the grape motif on the sides. The back of it has fruit. Apples, grapes, pears, etc on it. The seat is 4- 2 1/2 inch slats painted primary colors to match the fruit on the back. Red, green, yellow and blue. Adorable! I want to put it in the flower bed. The Buddha is going to love it! It's just her size and sturdy enough for her to sit on. huggs and prayers going out to all our JW'ers in need. starry [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 12. How do I know about that? I do know that it's best to start out with a clean shower, so hopefully a brand new shower tub that has never seen any soap at all will work from the get-go. I would think the only bad thing is that you have to use it every day, and you have to weigh the price against how much you hate to clean tile and shower doors! Good luck! (With my bum leg, I try to get out of housecleaning entirely!) Pedro, keep up the good work! (A cigar?) Anyway, you will be fine --it's just a shock to have a doctor tell you that you have to change your lifestyle. We don't like to hear that. We want to live our lives with wild abandon as we did when we were young and didn't give a hoot in Hell about our bodies because they worked fine no matter how much we abused them. Posted by szundi on 15:49:15 4/22/2001 I am back at Chez Szundi, drinking champagne, and listening to 3 snoring dogs. Since I kept Ginja and mary99 up so late last night, Ginja wanted an early start, so they left from the Grain House around 2 PM. The Chart's and the Toppcats also headed for home and Ma and Pa Brady went off to visit their son at college, which is on their way home. It was so nice seeing everyone again and Toppcat and Mrs. Toppcat seem to get younger each time we see them! Holly: just read your post---you are SO RIGHT. Mary99 is a dynamo and funny and knowledgeable. It's no wonder Ginja missed Morristown by 40 miles!! I took lots of pictures which I am sending off in the AM to PhotoWorks.com. Soon as they are on-line I can send them to whoever can set them up for me on Zing or some such thing. Ma Brady brought the Access Graphics souvenir medallion in plastic that they gave out when they hit a million in sales and Ginja brought a surprise 'guest'. I hope the pictures of Ma Brady looking for the guest's hymen comes out. LOLOL! The service was a lot better than last time--mainly because I spoke to the Catering dept. and gave them a heads-up. We didn't solve the case, but got a few spotty problems discussed. I have to check with my mortician cousin about the vault she is in and the condition of her body (if he knows). We all had a good laugh over the hymen mystique. Ma Brady wanted to know if I wasn't tired of repeating the same thing ad nauseum. I told her, I'll keep teaching my Hymen 101 classes until Ned gets a passing grade in female anatomy. It's a thankless job but somebody has to do it. Almost forgot, the gang wants me to post some more info about how pathologists report their findings. I find it kind of obvious, but since so many people are still confused about the hymen---was it there or not----was it intact or not---was it normal, torn, eroded, or not, I will say this for all the non-medical posters. This is so obvious it pains me to actually have to say it in words of one syllable---but here goes. Here are the terms pathologists use to denote no pathological findings---and they are inter-changeable: normal unremarkable no intrinsic abnormalities If something looks normal grossly but there is a possibility that the histologic sections may show some abnormalities, they will say, 'unremarable by gross examination'. Getting back to JB's autopsy, you will note that the Lymphatic system and the Musculoskeletal system are described as 'unremarkable'. In light of the above, IF THE HYMEN HAD BEEN NORMAL, the pathologist would have described it as, "hymen intact, no gross abnormalites seen" or "hymen is unremarkable" or "hymen is annular (or crescent shaped), intact, with an opening measuring ** mm's ( for a prepubescent 6 yr.old, 2-6mm) with no scarring, erosions or tears". Do you understand now why I consider ths so basic a thing? The pathologist took 71 (seventy-one!) words to descrbe the condition of what remained of her hymen. He used a lot more to describe the rest of the trauma to her perineum and vaginal orifice. If the hymen had been normal, he would have simply said so in a few words. This is so basic I still find it hard to believe that people question it. There WILL be a quiz and the weakest link will be voted off. Goodbye. I hope this puts to rest once and for all any and all speculation about her destroyed hymen. I've posted this before, but I guess it bears repeating--I read the autopsy report to a Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecologist when it was first published and all she said was, "That poor child. She was abused and prior that night as well". I don't know exactly what Jane Harmer showed in her report, but from ST's book, I seem to recall that he said she showed photos of a non-abused 6 yr.old and compared it to JB's findings at autopsy and the differences were evident to the lay person. Very evident. Well, Spring Flingers, I have done as you requested. I trust this will educate and inform the troops. Cher and FT---you were missed. Fra, too! The gals all looked lovely in their spring outfits and the fellows looked great, too. The weather was actually warmer than springtime, as the air in NJ soared to above 80°. Szundi mentioned that she was up until the wee hours of the morning with Ginga and Mary99 discussing the MW/FW issue as she posted earlier. I promised Szundi I would read the rest of the Dr. Krugman thread after admitting that I missed some of it. She's still incredulous...just couldn't believe that Ned would seriously state the bubble bath and/or moisture could erode a hymen. We also discussed Dr. Beuf's role, the heart drawing on JBR's hand, "bootman", Lou Smit, the Santabear, the Santa outfit, the black velvet backdrop, opinions regarding the recent burglary of the Atlanta house, and the clothes JBR wore on the night of her murder, just for starters. There was much more, mostly quickly moving from topic to topic and sharing thoughts. There seemed to be a real split down the middle as to whether PR could be completely responsible for JBR's death. Not too long ago this same group played Patsy Bingo at a time when most felt her totally culpable, so I believe that there now is some question regarding the exact nature of her role. Most everyone is pleased about the recent case activity and anxious to watch the courtroom dramas unfold. Missed those who could not be with us, especially Cher, FT, Peg B. Holly, Morgan, the Lurkers, and the starrys...all of whom came to an earlier NJ spring fling. By the way, whatever happened to Fra and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Z.? Please forgive me if I've neglected anyone who should have been mentioned here. I hope LurkerXIV had a wonderful time at her bridal shower. Also, It was great to remember the first fling that brought both Chris and Darby in by plane. It's never too far to travel to meet fellow justice watchers. Oh, yes, one person we did not miss was Brightlight, because she was with us in a way that was quite special. I'll save this for Ginga to elaborate. Ginga was starting to feel a little under the weather with a cold or allergy attack, so she was anxious to make the return trip home. I hope you will get some rest and feel better soon, Ginga. Also, Mrs. Toppcat, please continue to improve (she's just getting over a bad cold). Of course thanks to szundi's planning, it was another great event. (And I can't believe I said I'd make this a quick post!) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 36. "Sun. "Well, it's been real" Posted by Watching you on 17:50:19 4/22/2001 and all that, but it's time for WY to talk to her bird and hug the kitties outside. That little black she-devil has been playing possum all day, probably sitting on one of her perches surveying the world and all its wonders. Such lovely weather here today, supposed to be almost 80 tomorrow, can't believe it. Only a few days ago it was down in the 20's. Say goodnight, Sparky. I thought your post said "Hey everyone" Not Hey Ev". I got ahead of myself. I certainly didn't mean to invite myself like that. That was quite boorish. I am sorry. But if you invite me I'll buy!:) Take Care Tricia [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 41. "Today" Posted by ToppCat on 18:40:53 4/22/2001 Mrs. TC and I are back after another JW weekend away. There's nothing like a great get-together and this one was right up there with the best. It was nice seeing everyone again . . . but quite a few of the "regular" JW'ers were missing this time around!!! Let me just say that if you come to one of these get-togethers that you are REALLY MISSED if you don't come to the next one. And if you're new to the group, come on out and meet everyone -- you'll be really glad that you did. Special thanks to Szundi for making all the brunch arrangements, etc. Great conversation, great people and great food. A winning combination anyway you slice it. "Memento" Posted by Mini on 18:30:32 4/22/2001 Just got back from seeing a movie called "Memento" and wonder it anyone else has seen it. It was VERY interesting but my husband was completely lost so I can't discuss it with him and don't know anyone else who's seen it. It starred Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential) and was about a man who had no short term memory who was looking for his wife's murderer. The confusing part was that the action ran backward so the viewer felt like the guy with no memory. It probably took me an hour after seeing it to figure it out but thought it very good. Anyone seen it? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 39. "Blondie's Back in RI!" Posted by Ginja on 18:25:54 4/22/2001 Sitting here with Mare eating cold pizza my dogsitter left. Okay, so we had a special guest drop in on us ... Mare and I swung by the airport between here and Staten Island to pick her up.... And whoooooooo was that? BRIGHTLIGHT! Yes...Mrs. B didn't get any good pics of BL; however, I did, and so did Zoon...so we'll get those posted as soon as possible. BL was too shy because this was her first 'meet'....but not to worry....you'll see her in all her glory soon! You'll see a side of Brightlight she rarely shows. ;-) We had a great time, but unfortunately it's allergy season and I got hit good. With a navigator like Mare....I knew I had to get an early start home! More latah, gatahs! :-) BTW Hol...you're absolutely right! Posted by shadow on 18:44:28 4/22/2001 Looks like this time one of the 16 planes we shoot down each month in our war against drugs in Central and South America was an "innocent." The defense contractor company that I work for provides all the radar support for the "drug interdiction" program in that area. Anyhow, looks like I'll be gone for awhile... just say you'll miss me! shadow [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 45. "Going to say" Posted by JR on 19:54:12 4/22/2001 Goodnight everyone - sicker than a dog - must have picked up a bug at one of my medical appointments - this is definitely more than allergies. Gee and I was looking forward to a couple of our males getting new report cards on the female anatomy tonight. ;-\ On second thought, I will check back if I am awake later. ;-) Off to guzzle some cough syrup and a cup of hot tea...does boozenhoney go good in tea(?) - no lemons to make grandma's remedy.
