"EVIDENCE 5: Rope found in Guest Room" Posted by Ginja on 14:33:13 5/05/2001 A sack of rope (unknown to Ramsey's) was found in the guest bedroom. Relevancy question: does it match the cord used in the murder? As regards the "unknown to Ramseys", we've learned this was their standard answer to everything. For example, they didn't know where the Santa bear on the bed came from, yet Pam later said she had read a note in the bear's pocket prior to the murder that was "prophetic". They also didn't know where the maglite on their kitchen counter came from. The pineapple in JonBenet's body was another "unknown to Ramseys" reaction. "My question" Posted by DuBois on 16:24:52 5/05/2001 would be : Why would a intruder bring a sack of rope and leave it behind, yet use all the other things in the house, paper ,pen, paintbrush, [maybe tape]? maybe the Rams were into mountain climbing after all, and hence the hi-tech boots. She said there was something that implied a "message" in the pocket. When later asked if it was a note ... she said "no". Godz only know what she took to be a message. Could have been a stick pin for all we know ... or a piece of string. Not saying it was either thing, but we haven't heard WHAT she was talking about. Interesting about the rope, I admit, tho. "Good question, DuBois" Posted by Ginja on 16:33:03 5/05/2001 it doesn't make sense that the perp brought only a stack of rope and left it in the spare room (how'd he know it was a spare room?) and then went about and used everything in the crime from the house. And then left not only the rope, but a ransom note after he had just finish hiding the body in a basement room. I don't mind looking at the intruder theory seriously, or all this new evidence. But if it doesn't link to the crime, and it doesn't make sense in an intruder theory, then what exactly is it's relevance? Posted by Edie Pratt on 16:54:01 5/05/2001 NOTE: This message was last edited 16:54:01, 5/05/2001 didn't the Ramsey's notice all the open cupboards and drawers when they got home that night? That would look like another robbery! Did the pedokiller rummage thru these when the R's went to bed? Yeah right, he runs room to room after they get home, gathering all his killing tools then, and nobody heard a thing? Either way, neither makes sense. "at least Edie" Posted by Gemini on 17:07:46 5/05/2001 you'd think PR would have noticed the cupboard with the pull-ups open when she went in the upstairs laundry area to wash out the "jumper" that a.m.. Bet this rope in the guest room has nothing to do with the murder. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 8. "I agree, Gemini" Posted by Edie Pratt on 17:17:40 5/05/2001 there's nothing that says it was the same rope, yet. And, if there's any trace of it being cut other than in that room, that would mean he returned it when he cut what he needed. Leaves cupboards and diapers and drawers hanging open, but puts the rope, pad and pen back? The note was too thought out and legible to suggest a disorganized psychotic did this. It sure wasn't the Railroad Killer, if you know what I mean. The scene appears like two personality types were at work. Oscar and Felix. Maybe that's what Patsy meant by, "there are at least TWO people who know..."? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 6. Not saying it was either thing, but we haven't heard WHAT she was talking about. What transcript are you reading? I searched, but couldn't find any kind of a 'transcript' that talked about the bear. What I did find was a Daily Camera article and a news station's index of news stories: 1/29/99 Daily Camera by Christopher Anderson: It has been reported that the grand jury investigating JonBenét's death is interested in learning about the manufacture and sales of the Santa bear because one was found on a bed in JonBenét's bedroom near the time of her murder, but is now apparently missing. JonBenét's aunt, Pam Paugh, recently told a reporter that a note was found in a pouch the bear had tied around its waist, but search warrants do not list any such note as evidence collected at the crime scene. Attaches, brown paper bag for loot, Heftys, suitcase, duffle bag, childrens clothes in paper bag, JR's bags stolen by well dressed black man, bags on the plane, and now the cord came from a bag?...definitely a pattern:-) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 9. "Ginj" Posted by Gemini on 17:23:56 5/05/2001 it was an interview with Carol McKinley. Someone on one of the forums transcribed it and posted the transcript. Really. "Gem" Posted by Ginja on 18:01:48 5/05/2001 Does this mean that the Daily Camera article and the news station's story on 1/31/99 are of no value? I believe you when you say it was a Carole McKinley interview transcript. If I said note back then, it's because there were other sources for the note story besides Carol. Was the interview of Carol or by Carol? It wasn't an interview with Pam, was it? I just read this afternoon two conflicting stories about evidence collection. One was that Susan Stine was horrified that when a cop took a mouth swab from her son, he forgot to bring a bag to carry it back to the lab, and walked out with the unprotected sample. That same exact story was retold by Pam...except it was she who stood horrified, not Stine. Just more humor from the pages of Pam Paugh. :-) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 14. "Bags Bags......" "Leaving a bag" Posted by ayelean on 19:07:43 5/05/2001 Maybe the intruder felt bad about borrowing all the stuff he used and felt obligated to repay the host and host so he left the bag he brought. So in addition to heavy clothing, a maglight, a dish of pineapple, a teddy bear and carrying a stun gun he also had a bag of rope when he hauled a$$ed thru that window. Oscar and Felix. Maybe that's what Patsy meant by, "there are at least TWO people who know..."? I've thought this same thing for years. It's always seemed a crime of love/hate, hot/cold/thinking/emotions. And since both are bull-headed and wouldn't go along with just one theme, the crime is confusing and contradictory. Maybe not mad or going against the other, maybe doing what came naturally. IOW, while one wrote the final note, the other scurried to find knife, cord, etc.? I'm wondering if Patsy wrote the rough draft of the note, and JR copied it and replaced the pen and pad...he didn't recognize his dishes w/pineapple (why would they show him a picture of a bowl that wasn't in his house? Did the perp bring dishes, lol?), but he knew where the pads of paper were kept. "Daddy's not here..." always comes to mind, he didn't know much about the family, their abilities, their problems, etc, but here's the junk drawer, and here's PATSY's PEN AND PAD! uh huh... nice to see you Sea:-) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 18. "Santa Bear Pouch" Posted by Chris on 19:13:53 5/05/2001 Here is what I remember: When the plea was put out for info on the Santa Bear, Aunt Pam was on Extra or Inside Edition. When she was interviewed she "speculated" that there may have been a note inside the pouch that the Santa Bear was carrying. After the rumor started circulating (and I can't remember where it came from) that Aunt Pam got that idea when Carol McKinley interviewed her, I asked Carol about it. Carol told me that she had asked Pam if she "thought there could have been a message from the killer in the pouch" (or something to that effect). Pam took this idea and ran with it, claiming there was a note in the pouch. At least that's how I remember it... [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 19.
