"The big question" Posted by darby on 19:29:29 5/20/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 19:29:29, 5/20/2000 Let's think of why Spade would have decided to get into the JBR forums to push a "Burke did it" theory. Let's think of why Spade would try to influence the grand jury. Maybe he's just an ordinary person like me who has an interest in the case? Well, no. He more than likely knows the Whites personally. I suppose that if you were well acquainted with the Whites, you might have a strong interest in the case. No problem there. But... Would you be trying to influence the grand jury? If so, why? What do you suppose a presumably honest and innocent Fleet White would think of your claim to have inside information that Burke did it? Why would you threaten your relative "Bridgett" to thwart her stepping forward to tell of hideous documented abuse at the hand of the Whites? Robin, I hope you don't mind that I took it from your post and brought it here. Thanks for finding it. Do catch the title. ---------- KNOW and be Silent It was standing room only at The Church of The Living Center for the annual Rituals of the Vernal Equinox. The orange-clad saniysan choir was chanting Ommmm...the multi-media extravaganza, produced by none other than incomparable Yoni, was reaching a climax. The energy level was causing the widows and the windows to vibrate and then ...suddenly...Master Prem manifested in the center of the stage. Master Prem who was The Bhagwan's first American devotee. Master Prem who had kept the dream alive. Master Prem who shares The Secrets. Master Prem the guardian of the Sacred Stash. Master Prem...my perpetually ****ed-up-little-brother Lenny Letofsky. If I was susceptible to the kind of guilt feelings...you know...that my ethnic heritage expects of me, I'd probably would have tried to take responsibility for this apparent abuse of knowledge, but I'm not, so I made the decision to relax and try to enjoy Lenny's performance. Lenny and I grew up here in Boulder during the late 1970's. When I was a senior in high school, Time magazine half-accurately described Boulder as the place where "The hip meet to trip!" Our Father, Sidney, was a tenured professor of Sociology at the University of Colorado and Mom was a full-time, albeit, unpaid volunteer for The Boulder Coalition for the Homeless. Deborah had a Masters degree in social work from Bennington, but the 70's were pre-public financed behavior modification programs and so she worked for free. Our parents smoked pot, listened to The Beatles, owned a 69 VW Westphalia, walked around the house naked...but...when you get right down to it, neither one of them had a clue. They had never stopped searching, primarily because they never let go of the idea that the answers must be located somewhere outside of themselves. Do you remember that era's "Let Mikey Try It" TV commercials? Well, then you certainly can understand that since I'm four years older than Lenny, it's natural that my peers and I made him our official consciousness altering substance tester. He was the guinea pig for at least a dozen varieties of LSD. Plus: XTC, shrooms, 714's, amyls, and PCP. All of Boulder benefited when my friends and I decided not to try Angel Dust because Lenny started barking and biting everybody on the ankles. We also attempted to draw the line at needles, but when Belushi bought it in 1982, our neighbor Joey Cohen bought a rig and unsuccessfully tried to get Lenny to slam a speedball. In retrospect, I guess I don't understand how he could have survived his teens, but he did, and he really didn't become consistently weird until Mom took him to India. A hush fell upon the congregation as they anticipated Lenny.. ER Master Prem's opening of the rituals. Lenny milked the silence for all it was worth..raised his arms above his head..looked up at his gold Rolex and began in a whisper, "It is high noon and it is time to join me in the here and now." Lenny paused and right on cue, the choir again began chanting Ommm. Om or Aum or Amen, for that matter, is the root sound, the vibratory frequency that connects humankind to the planet, the sound you must make if you are astral projecting and get lost, the wakeup call for the kundalini energy, etc., etc., etc. I suppose that just like Christianity and other forms of ritual Magick, if you believe that this stuff will work for you, it will work for you. Obviously Lenny's congregation did, because they were all Ommming along with the choir and Master Prem. It is embarrassing to admit that longer they Ommmed, the hotter the base of my spine became. I looked over at Becky and she winked..she'd read my mind. Lenny had invited both of us to this family reconciliation/reunion on his home turf. I hadn't really been able communicate with Lenny since he became Master Prem - Guru to the Terminally Hip. But, Becky, my tripping partner and friend, has read several of the Bhagwan's books and was able to convince me that there could be some social redeeming values buried in Lenny's vocation. However, at that point in the ceremonies, I remember that it was difficult for me to recognize any. But then...The Goddess of Love appeared on the stage..er..alter. The Goddess was a statuesque brunette with a classic Theda Bara look. She was attired in a flimsy white gown that made it obvious, to even the most casual observer, that she was not wearing undergarments nor had she recently made extensive use of any depilatory products. The Goddess upstaged Lenny, raised her arms above her head, looked in his eyes, and then...that sultry vamp slowly and sensuously collated her fingers with my little brothers' delicate hands and they slithered into the Shiva-Devi lotus position. A baby spot with a violet filter bathed the alter in the color most people associate with the crown chakra, Yoni filled the church with a sustained single note (B above Middle C of course), and Lenny led the multitudes in breathing techniques designed to raise the kundalini. Ever since Couch Mac and his homophobic Promise Keepers moved on, Boulder had again become one of only locations North of Tijuana where you could get community acceptance of this type of public ceremony. The town is so new age that it even has a street named Tantra. However, despite the local social mores, I have to admit that it's embarrassing for me to think that my little brother was having ritualistic sex with hundreds of strangers, including four gay guys who were seated three rows in front of Becky and me. All the while, Sidney and Deborah watched the ceremony like they were the current incarnations of Mary and Joseph. Meanwhile, the color of the baby spot had changed from violet to purple to blue, the corresponding note on Yoni's synthesizer dropped from B to A to G, and The Goddess of Love began to speak.... "O Master Prem, What is your reality? What is this wonder-filled universe? What constitutes seed? Who centers the universal wheel? What is this life beyond form pervading forms? How may we enter it fully, above time, space, names, and descriptions? I pray Master Prem..let my doubts be cleared!" Lenny paused before answering...while Yoni changed to a green filter and punched up a soft but sincere F on his primary keyboard. Thus, everybody was assured that Master Prem's answer would come directly from his heart chakra. Lenny began in a deep and master-like voice, "Radiant One, the experience may dawn between two breaths. After breath comes down and just before turning up - the beneficence." The congregation owwwed and again Lenny paused as he and The Goddess led them in some basic Prana Yoga. Just as everybody seemed to be getting in sync, Lenny started paraphrasing the second of Shiva's one hundred and twelve ancient meditation techniques: "As breath turns from down to up, and again as breath curves from up to down...through both these turns, realize." A murmur of confusion ran through the audience, but Lenny continued, undaunted: "Or, whenever inbreath and outbreath fuse, at this instant touch the energyless energy-filled center....Or, when breath is all out and stopped of itself, or all in and stopped of itself, in such universal pause, one's small self vanishes..." However, at that point Lenny somehow was compelled to add, "This is difficult only for the impure." The murmur of confusion rapidly degenerated into a literal wail of insecurity. The congregation's synchronized breathing changed to group hyperventilation. The Rituals of the Vernal Equinox were going into the toilet..but..much to Becky's and my surprise... Lenny, Yoni, and the Goddess were equal to the challenge. Yoni switched to the Red filter and Middle C with a full reverb, the Goddess started chanting Ommm, the saniysan choir joined in, and Lenny skipped ahead to sutra number fourteen. "Bathe in center of sound, as in the continuous sound of a waterfall. Or, by putting fingers in ears, hear the sound of sounds. Or, slowly intone a sound such as Ommm. As sound enters soundfulness, so do youuu........" Lenny's voice went up a full octave as he said the you...Evidently, The Goddess' vaginal muscles had given him a not so subtle reminder that he was superfluously sharing sutras. He immediately cut to the chase: "At the start of sexual union, keep attentive on the fire in the beginning and thus avoid the embers in the end. Focus on the fire rising through your form from the toes up, until the body turns to ashes...BUT NOT YOU." The caveat came to late for the gay guy sitting on the end..his butt was smokin'..a sure sign that self-immolation was imminent. Now, everybody who saw "Like Water for Chocolate" knows that the kundalini energy is nothing to mess around with..so Becky grabbed my hand and we dashed for the exit. We got to the sidewalk just as a six hundred and sixty-six foot pillar of fire shot through the stained glass dome of the church. There were no remains; much less any survivors. Becky hugged me for an eternity before she spoke, I'll never forget her words, "Lenny must not have gotten around to reading The Bhagwan's comments on the teachings of The Alchemists. Bhagwan believed that their motto..Know and be silent..was an example of very enlightened thought, for The Middle Ages." Copyright(c) R. Then I saw a pic of the executioner's garrote. not even close. but a little more research showed garroting is taught in the military as a surivial skill. john was in charge of facility maintenance. we don't know what facilities. one of the last posts on hinky 2 (i'm sorry, i've forgotten your hat :( ) noted the ritualistic aspects of jb's murder. all of a sudden, that seemed strange. why would one involved in that want to draw attention to it? Edited to say it was the "More Hinky" thread, #84. i didn't forget you, darby. i forgot you were the poster. a theory i've played with is that john had help in the coverup, but expected jb's body to be removed from the house (or maybe it wasn't there to begin with). finding it in the basement is what caused him to get all shaky. it was the shock, plus the message, which would have been some kind of threat to john. maybe something to guarantee his silence. who would assign a special preosecutor? when did fleet acquire the property near john? was it leased at the time of JB's murder and if so, by whom? bridget. bridge it. hmmmm. "Why BDI" Posted by Maggie on 21:37:45 5/20/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 21:37:45, 5/20/2000 Let's think of >why Spade would have decided to >get into the JBR forums to >push a "Burke did it" theory. > Let's think of why Spade >would try to influence the grand >jury. >What do you suppose a presumably >honest and innocent Fleet White would >think of your claim to have >inside information that Burke did it? >Why would you threaten your relative "Bridgett" >to thwart her stepping forward to >tell of hideous documented abuse at >the hand of the Whites? The BDI theory is the only one put forth so far that would make it completely unnecessary to investigate possible links to child pornography and/or child sexual abuse. A BDI decision by the GJ is the only one that would not result in an indictment or lengthy trial. I believe that is the reason Jones was pushing Burke as the perp. And that is obviously the reason he wanted to silence Bridget. Assume for the sake of argument that FW is innocent of any involvement whatsoever in the death of JBR. Assume also that his worse sin is being the son of a pedophile with some sleazy cohorts. He HAD TO know that everyone with access to JBR would be investigated, and that these things would likely come out. John told Arndt when JBR was 'found' that he thought it was an inside job. Since I've always been a John-did-it theorist, I've always thought he told his best friend, FW, the same thing. I think he asked FW to help him buy time until after the funeral, then he would cooperate with the authorities. We know that by the time the funeral took place, FW's name was already on a list the R's gave the BPD. This, IMO, is why FW went ballistic when he learned the R's were planning to appear on TV instead of quietly cooperating with the police. Edited to add: I agree with others here that the motive behind FW's letters, etc. is probably self-preservation rather than JFJBR, I just haven't taken a stand re his personal involvement with the crime. I'm re-thinking everything since the introduction of Bridget into the mix. All of the above is JMHO. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 5. IF JR and PR killed their daughter, accidentally or purposely, it might make sense to 'stage' something to look like ritual abuse of which they had heard from someone, anyone. IF someone involved in ritual abuse killed JBR, I think it would make sense that all 'props' would be removed, eliminating any possibility of linking her death with such abuse. So, I think the person who did murder this little girl did so not in a 'ritual abuse' scenario, but staged it to point the finger at someone who did have (or was suspected of having) knowledge of ritualistic abuse. How come sometimes you post so splendidly -- even the spelling, and sometimes, I can't understand a damn thing? In general. You and I are close on FW. You are in agreement with nearly every officer I talk to about a juvenile (Burke) perp. But I'm not there. I think FW tried to maneuver politically by waving that House Bill in front of the internet and the "People of Colorado" in 1998. He tried to suggest that Hunter stalled to be able to manipulate the new law so that when the gj choked, he would come out smelling like a rose via a report. Didn't happen. His agenda has been clear for years. With the emergence of MW, I think his maneuvers take on clearer meaning. And I note, that the oft heard Steve Thomas phrase, "absent a confession" appeared first in the REAL LONG letter coming out of the Whites' mouths. Talk about manipulation. He wanted a special prosecutor he could muscle. Hunter was uncomfortable with him and it was killing Fleet. Burke, IMO, was hung out to dry for 3 years by adults who are used to manipulating and exploiting kids. Same old, same old. MW says her mother told her that she and MW neice were at the White's dinner party 12/25/96. Mother tells the cops , not right. It was some other time. MW seems very clear about what her Mother said and that her Mother even talked about it with MW grandmother several times. Well there are other people the cops could check with (other than the Mother) who were at that party. That is were it starts to smell to high heaven. The neice of the MW might know a heck of a lot about sexual abuse and the kinds of things that MW knew about at the age of the neice. Don't know how old the child is. Could be early teens. Could be 11 or 12. Don't know that. Do you? I think there is more than one juvenile in the picture. But maybe the question is one of which one killed JBR? And if that is the question,I know were my bet would be placed. But some adult could still have gotten involved in a coverup. But the question would still be one of who. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 19. "lake. I'm clueless" Posted by Holly on 05:48:10 5/21/2000 how old the niece is. Has it been stated anywhere? At least she must be old enough that MW has a concern for her safety. So I'd say school age. IF a kid/s killed JB, and if no one was old enough to be charged with murder in CO, then why the ridiculous kidnapping and cover-up? The only thing I can imagine is that someone's perversions/lifestyle/crimes were at risk for exposure. Still, if juvies were the killers, it was mighty risky to let Burke go. Even though he was in a somewhat controlled (White) environment, the police were talking to him pretty early. I just do not see how there was such confidence he wouldn't slip up. He had no idea what his parents were saying and doing. Neither White was at their home and I don't think anyone was allowed calls. Anyway, is your theory that kids came to the Rammers after the party? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 20. Sounds like the MW/Tal Jones connection starts to come into play here. Then you could have the explanation of jbr in the car and explanation of Patsy going out...explanation of how everyone showed up at Ramsey's so quick, including the reverend...why here body wasn't there and then it was later in the day. And why "it wasn't supposed to happen" I suddenly remembered all the talk about candles as well as the scream. And there is that pesky ransom note. I wonder if information flows one way, and manipulation flows the other way. BPD--Are you sure you aren't being manipulated by someone within your department? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 26. "You know..." Posted by darby on 07:14:52 5/21/2000 It's so easy for someone to roll their eyes about MW's information, saying that all those who want this investigated must be part of a perverted fanatic fringe lynch mob. Questions keep coming up about why MW waited so long to speak up or how someone in therapy for that long would know what she was talking about. Questions worthy of some exploration, but when 99% of her documentation occurred BEFORE the murder, it matters not in terms of the bottom line why she waited so long or any other seemingly questionable details. If MW's claims are backed up by documentation before the murder, then we know she didn't make these things up in response to the murder. If MW didn't make these things up in response to the murder, then MW bashers have not a leg to stand on. Robin and others must address this before taking the limited public information we know and then trying to use it to say that MW's claims are destroying an innocent man. If there is damning documentation prior to the murder about this man, then how can you say that he is innocent? If there is damning information recorded prior to the murder which proves MW is RIGHT, then have you thought of what you might be doing to this poor woman who has already lived through hell by rolling your eyes and discounting her? Notice that the careful wording of the BPD's statement does not really negate any of MW's information outside of the lack of evidence connecting her experiences to JBR's. Notice that while it is says that there is no evidence that John and Patsy were part of a sex ring, the BPD had turned information over to the FBI about a sex ring. And remember, the sex ring MW spoke of involves the Whites, not necessarily the Ramseys. Notice that while it is says that there is no evidence that FW was involved in the murder, NOTHING is said which negates MW's claims about the Whites. Now why is that? And what about Tal Jones? Can anyone explain why a man who knows both the Whites and MW's family has been doing what he has been doing? When Chris talked to her, all MW did was include him on her list of family members and intimidators. Chris almost fell off her chair when she heard the name Tal Jones because she knew that months before, Tal had tried to influence the grand jury via contacts inside of the investigation. And now we hear that Tal is privy to the BPD's investigation of MW and that he has recently been trying to intimidate MW. A while ago, I did a search on Tal's hat at CS, and I noticed that he quit posting shortly before MW turned up--and he hadn't posted since. But we know he must be watching the forums VERRRY closely--unless the disappearance of Tal's website shortly after Robin's post is just another coincidence. I agree, but we don't know for sure that the cops didn't interview others. We don't even know anymore who they think did it. They might be playing dumb purposely and may have changed their minds completely about how this crime went down. This has become a high stakes life and death investigation, and I doubt that people are remaining naive about what they may have been naive about 2 years ago. Then again, the cops could be just plain stupid or the whole force corrupt, but I don't think so. Playing dumb with the Patsy as perpette over bedwetting has its advantages in keeping the perp/s off guard and feeling safe, which they obviously can't feel anymore. This site will be comprised of many threads from the now closed Boulder New Forum. What I was able to save between October 1998 and May 1999 have been converted to text files. There are older BNF archive files from 1997 and early 1998 that are not part of this ACandyRose web site but I will provide a link to those files for those who want to reference them. I believe that Murphy who owns the WebbSleuths Forum is the caretaker of some of those files. For posters who are new and not familiar with the Boulder News Forum in it's hayday and beyond, let me say that it was a free speech forum and often went over the edge on what free speech really is. You had to be tough to hang out there. And the way I looked at it was like skaters on a skating ring, you either jumped in and moved with the flow or you got knocked down. I managed to stay on the forum as an active member from August '98 through it's closing in May '99. It was a forum where you went when you couldn't say something on another forum. It was HOME to many. The threads that I have completed at this time are the ones with many postings by Spade since that is a subject at hand and please understand that many of those same postings were created by the poster known as Gsquared who is not a member of this forum either but is a member of my ACandyRose Forum as Closer2. That was back when Gsquared and Spade were sort of hanging together. I have finished this group to provide some reference ONLY to postings done by Spade since there seems to be so few available. I will be adding to the list as time is allotted. Let me add that providing this list is in no way meant to discredit any posters, past, present or future but provided only as reference material. From what publically is known, he will be forever labeled the man who interrogated PR and got her demon side to come forth. But in light of what has recently been disclosed on the forum, I think it's equally important to recall exactly when Tom Haney started gathering Ramsey case knowledge - and that was from day one and it was before the body was ever found! From PMPT Pg.13-14 "In Denver, Tom Haney, chief of the patrol division of the Denver police, was discussing a case with several special agents from the FBI. The agents were obviously distracted. They kept listening to their hand-held radios as he tried to talk to them. "Hey, what's the deal?" Haney finally asked. "There's been a kidnapping in Boulder," one agent said. "It's kind of hinky, crazy. There's something wrong with this one. The amount of the ransom is a really wierd number." So here we have Haney rubbing elbows with special agents on Ramsey case day 1. It has been stated four agents drove to Boulder that morning, from the FBI - but I'm not sure of all their names. I wonder if Haney was at the crime scene at any time. If he was, maybe he owns a pair of hi-tek shoes and is the officer who is reluctant to come forward?? Face it - somewhere there has to be an explanation for that shoe. However, there was an Alyce Christoff who died in 1998 in Contra Costa. I think part of the confusion is that there are/were two Alyce Christoffs in the mix. I believe Alyce Sprague is still living. "Sprague/Christoff" Posted by Zhanna on 11:39:12 5/22/2000 I've run across listings for both Alyce Sprague and Alyce Christoff in San Luis Obispo -- both showing the same phone number. Maybe the phone contract, and listing, is very old and predates her 1971 marriage to Sprague. Or....maybe she changed her name back to Christoff after Sprague's death in 1991. Jones's info states that Sprague died in Cayugas, Ca -- which is probably a misspelling for "Cayucos" which about 15 miles from San Luis Obispo and only about 6 miles north of Los Osos. Interestingly, there is also a listing for a Sprague (exactly same name and initials) in Mountain View, Ca. Please refresh my memory... what was the significance of Mountain View? My family has been passing out the same names for generations (how dull and sometimes confusing). The spelling of the Alyce is different, so I might wonder if the two Alyce's aren't part of the same family. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 67. "Alyce" Posted by IndyAnna on 11:42:38 5/22/2000 There were only a few Alyce Christoff found in my search. I found it odd that two were found in locations of interest in California. I do not have my notes here at the office but I believe both Alyces noted were of the approximate age. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ]
