"Patsy told the truth!" Posted by pip on 20:57:09 5/24/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 20:57:09, 5/24/2000 Tonight in chat, Starling asked me if the results of the polygraph test have converted me. After much discussion with fellow chatters, all I can say is that I believe Patsy was, in her own way, telling the truth. Here are the questions (compliments of ibnora) and Patsy's external and internal responses. Judge for yourself! Series 1: 1. Did you inflict any of the injuries that caused the death of JonBenet? NO - (I don't even know which specific injuries caused her death.) 2. Regarding JonBenet, did you inflict any of the injuries that caused her death? NO - (Her death may have been caused by previous injuries of which I am unaware.) 3. Were those injuries that resulted in JonBenet's death inflicted by you? NO - (Injuries which caused her death may have been inflicted by someone other than myself.) Series 2: 1. Do you know for sure who killed JonBenet? NO - (Perhaps several distinct personalities inhabit my body; I don't know for sure which took my daughter from me.) 2. Regarding JonBenet, do you know for sure who killed her? NO - (None of my "littles" has admitted to this crime in any fashion.) 3. Are you concealing the identity of the person who killed JonBenet? NO - (The identity of the personality which commited this crime is not consciously accessible to me at this time.) Series 3 (Patsy Ramsey only) 1. Did you write the ransom note that was found in your house? NO - (The note was written by a personality other than the one you are accessing at this time.) 2. Regarding that ransom note, did you write it? NO - (I just wasn't myself that night) 3. Is that your handwriting on the ransom note found in your house? NO - (That handwriting, you can plainly see, is not my REAL writing, it's my FAKE writing. Sheesh!) [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 1. "LOL" Posted by Starling on 21:05:10 5/24/2000 I thought it went something like this: 1. Did you inflict any of the injuries that caused the death of JonBenet? NO - (The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout, out come my 'no' and washed my lie out) 2. Regarding JonBenet, did you inflict any of the injuries that caused her death? NO - (We're sorry, you're call can not be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try your call again. This is a recording..) 3. Were those injuries that resulted in JonBenet's death inflicted by you? NO - (Coffee is now being served on the Prominade Deck..) :-) Star [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 2. "You two " Posted by momo on 21:17:33 5/24/2000 are a hoot! Patsy always tells the truth because she is such a good Christian! Didn't you know that? Have you noticed her nose getting longer? Posted by Pedro on 21:34:09 5/24/2000 .....I agree with you, even if Patsy did it, she could be telling the truth in her own mind, her truth, it happened before, if so, there's nothing a lie detector could do about it. "Vachss" Posted by maundy on 22:00:47 5/24/2000 andrew vachss (child advocate, lawyer, bookwriter, comic book writer, website (i think) vachss.com) said certain types will pass this question: "Did you shoot the victim?" but not this one: "Were you holding the gun when it killed the victim?" Posted by janphi on 21:58:22 5/24/2000 Lucky you, all you JW posters who still get to go to chat without one of the others posting your real name. Wish I could have been there. Trying to keep a low profile here, too, but can't keep my hands off these keys. Loved your interpretation, pip, and thanks to ibnora, too! May I chime in with a couple of mine? Series 1 and 2--I would like to have heard how the examiner pronounced JonBenét when asking Patsy. Phonetically "djawn bin-ay" (hard J) or "zhawn bin-ay" (French J)? Would have made a world of difference in who PR thought they were talking about. Series 3 (Patsy Ramsey only) >1. Did you write the ransom note >that was found in your house? > NO - I printed it. >2. Regarding that ransom note, did you >write it? > NO - I printed it. >3. Is that your handwriting on the >ransom note found in your house? > NO - That is my faux printing. You can always sign off if you feel an unfriendly presence. Do you know IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)? Most people don't think of the "d" sound in the hard "j"! Hope things are going well for you, Janphi. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 7. "Patsy's Truth" Posted by Nandee on 22:13:31 5/24/2000 I enjoyed the humor. You people are very witty!! I wonder what Patsy calls her alters? Any suggestions??? Actually, while watching Rivera, they showed the segment during which Patsy says that she went into the room with the image of JonBenet in her head. I thought of these "mantras" or tips they give to women in labor, where you fix on an image in order to forget the pain you're going through. This may be how she squeaked by with a 10. If Chris is right, a 9 would have rendered this test inconclusive too. Notice that both of them just got a 10 in the question "Did you cause the death". On Rivera, Schiller kept returning to the issue of "atypical" killers who may well not remember having caused a death because they blanked out and then go on to genuinely believe they never did it. Thought it fit in with your post. Schiller made a point of returning to this and pointedly asking Spence (who just can't shut up) if he had ever come across this sort of atypical killer. Otherwise, Schiller, like Rivera were basically very cautious in their remarks. Do they fear being sued as well? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ]
