"jelly" Posted by v_p on 20:33:57 5/25/2001 I know, huh. I need to go eat and leave it alone. I know you all think some of us do nothing but bitc* and moan ... and I apologize if I am one perceived that way, but sometimes discussing the case with people you don't trust seems futile. What I mean is, if I don't feel someone is being sincere, I can't keep a straight face and post a sincere opinion. I don't mind anyone disagreeing with me, it's the stupid games played in annonymous hats that pi$$ me off. I'd love to discuss the case and explore "fresh perspectives," but sometimes I don't believe the johnny-come-lately hats are all that fresh and I don't feel like arguing with them for their entertainment. I love your pursuit of new ideas and thought-provoking threads Jelly and JR ... I'll try to adjust my 'tude and contribute what I can. No matter what, it's important to keep the discussion and pursuit of justice going... [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 4. No matter what, we must always remember why we're here. JonBenet is counting on us. I know I haven't been here all this time to let someone keep me from seeking justice for JonBenet. It's not going to happen. "I not only think I'm right, I know I am." Love, momo [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 6. "My post on the first thread" Posted by South on 23:14:59 5/25/2001 was misinterpreted by some. I have edited it to clarify what I meant. I need to stick to lurking. Many of us occasionally post something which is misunderstood. Communication is a two-way street - clarify if you feel you were misunderstood. Hang in - we need good posters! Thanks for clearing that up. I admit I wasn't sure how to take it, so I didn't respond at all. While I do not require accolades, and I'm pretty good at not taking things too personally, it is always nice when someone recognizes this hasn't been especially easy on those of us who choose to take a stand here. When we do that, we expose ourselves to every fast gun who wants to take us on. That isn't what this is all about, it never was. Give me back the good old days when we were a family here. It's worth fighting for, I think. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 9. "Hello frrom Atlanta" Posted by Greenleaf on 07:43:49 5/26/2001 A friend, here in Atlanta, told me that the Ramseys belong to THE CHURCH OF THE APOSTLES OF ATLANTA. www.apostles.org I don't have time to click into their web site, but, maybe some of you curious sleuths can find out what it's all about. My friend told me that John Ramsey extends his hand to all the parishioners and says: "Hello, I'm John Ramsey; hello there, I'm John Ramsey; Hi, there, I'm John Ramsey; good morning,I'm John Ramsey; nice to see you again, I'm John Ramsey..." She said that he sounds like an airline flight attendant: "Goodbye, goodbye, nice to have you aboard; goodbye now, goodbye, goodbye...'" .. Anyway, friends, FWIW, that's old Greenleaf's tid bit of the day. We'll be celebrating Memorial Day today, with about 50 family members and friends. The eldest is 100 yrs. old, and the youngest is 8 weeks old. Of course, my little, golden haired granddaughter will be the star of the show. LOL! Wishing one and all a happy Memorial Day weekend! Please take a few moments to remember our men and women in the Armed Forces; especially all those, living and dead, who fought for this great country of ours, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, including my brother R.L.B., USMC, who was killed on Saipan. Fondly, Greenleaf p.s. excuse the errors, as I'm on my daughter's laptop, with tiny keys. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 12. "Found this" Posted by ayelean on 09:21:11 5/26/2001 Went to the Apostles Church site and found this about the pastor: Dr. Youssef has authored 13 books to date, the most recent being "The Prayer That God Answers," an examination of the power and fullness of The Lord's Prayer, published in 2000 by Thomas Nelson Publishers. Also, found the church is in their neighborhood. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 13. "The Church of The Apostles" Posted by JR on 10:31:25 5/26/2001 Reaching The Lost And Equipping The Saints We recognize God as our authority in every area of life. We also acknowledge that we will answer to Him for every action we take. Prison Fellowship: Prison Fellowship USA is a Christian Ministry to prisoners, founded by Chuck Colson. This ministry spreads the Good News of the Gospel to prisoners, providing counseling, Bible Study, and various seminars. Prison Fellowship has a goal of preaching the gospel in every prison throughout America by 2005. They plan on drawing the "non-chapel crowd" of prisoners to the prison yard using highly talented Christian musicians, entertainers, athletes and speakers. Georgia's chapter of Prison Fellowship participated in this event known as Operation Starting Line March 14th - 25th, 2001. Volunteers were able to share the Gospel in approximately 50 detention centers with an average of approximately 65% of the prison population in attendance. Check out their website at www.operationstartingline.net for more details and exciting testimonies. Another highlight of the ministry is the Angel Tree project. Here people donate and deliver toys to children who rarely get any gifts at Christmas due to the incarceration of one or both of their parents. Volunteer opportunities include office support, on-site prison visitation, and much more. (Emphasis mine) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ]
