"Here we go again" Posted by RiverRat on 05:51:00 5/27/2000 Before I go any further on this story, can we find out WHO supplied the file to Calhoun. The article states that the mystery of who supplied the documents that were in the file (University of Denver researcher that was told to back off) but who gave the file out the day after the GJ wrapped up? I guess I will understand, once again, if this info is not for our knowledge. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 2. "Well River Rat" Posted by Ginja on 06:27:35 5/27/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 06:27:35, 5/27/2000 When I see "jameson245" cited as a source, I can't take the article seriously. Besides, no where in the article are the Ramseys or Boulder officials "linked" to anything. The beginning of the article (or post, whatever) goes through lengthy descriptions of known child sex rings and offenders. Then it dies. It dies because it can't make connections. It's not as if the police didn't look into the allegations. They've been coast-to-coast trying to find "the link". Many of the offenders (if not all) were found to have pornographic materials in their possession. A "link". Not only were the Ramseys home computers taken from the home and examined, as was Ramseys office computers, but the police poured through the internet looking for any kind of pictures or materials of JonBenet on sex sites...nothing was found...no links. In many of the cases cited, there were eyewitnesses to not only the offender's involvement in pornography, but in the actual offense itself of sexual abuse. There is no such "witness" accounts in Ramsey. The writer showed connections in these rings between offenders and those rings. Such connections and links couldn't be made against the Ramseys. It claims the FBI dropped the ball...due to a phone call made to higher-ups before the BPD were even notified. It fails to note that it was the FBI on the scene setting up the phone traps, or back at the BPD analyzing the note while Arndt babysat. In other words, the entire article is skewered. The real question is why would the Ramseys protect members of a sex ring? Sure, they'd have to admit some liability, lose some face...but haven't they lost a helluva lot more than face in protecting the real murderer? Why clean up after him and take the heat themselves? It doesn't make sense. Jmho, but if people took the time to look at the facts and connect the dots, they'd know how the Ramseys pulled this off. Instead, they'd rather take the easy road and blame someone else...a sex ring. The Ramseys don't need to be members of a ring, or 'get help' from sex offenders. They figured this all out on their own...they did it all on their own. And now they're sitting back laughing their assess off, watching everyone chase after these elusive sex butterflies. One final thought: do you think JR learned through a sex ring that he'd enjoy his bathroom visits more if he plastered the walls with pictures of his dead daughter? Give these folks some credit here. They didn't need some self-help books or guides to show them how to be sick, perverted, rotten parents. They figured it all out themselves! "That what I thought" Posted by RiverRat on 07:00:07 5/27/2000 All of a sudden stories are popping up that may or may not have connections to the people linked to this case but not necessarily the crime. There is obviously a child sex ring going on somewhere in America, but Patsy comes off to me as someone who is too prudish to enjoy a normal sexual relationship to immerse herself in that deep, murky, swampy lake. "Cops reopen '83 case with JB parallels" Posted by Starling on 11:24:49 5/27/2000 An interesting sidenote, after carefully reading Alex Constantine's ?report/info? - a couple years ago, I went back and was reading all the on line newspaper articles relating to JonBenet Ramsey's case. I worked my way through the archives of the various on line sites, which maintains these articles. In the Denver Post archive - out of all the articles I viewed - 2 had stale links. Both articles were written, by Chuck Greene. Mapek also has maintained a month by month chronology of newspaper articles. Her site contains, one of the articles I had long ago found a stale link to. Her link is stale also - but by posting the link herself it provides further proof that the link once existed and it makes me curious why this particular link fails to work. I've tried with no success to get Chuck Green to look into this and have the Denver Post fix the urls, but my attempts have went basically ignored. The two articles that initially peeked my curiosity were: "Cops reopen '83 case with JB parallels" and "What does JBR have in common with OK city bombing" - both articles are Chuck Greens. I remember thinking to myself if it wasn't just a fluke of nature, then it could be someone deliberately requested the urls be removed or someone hacked the site and removed them. In thinking along those same lines I had to wonder "whom was powerful enough or honory enough to do just that. Then I remembered reading in Lawrence Schiller's book, that the Ramsey attorney's each took a different newspaper to divide up the media chores!! Hal Haddon took the Denver Post! Page 218 of PMPT: "The team decided to divide up the media chores. Haddon talked to the Denver Post, Morgan handled the Daily Camera, and Patrick Furman dealt with the Rocky Mountain News." The whole thing with the 83 connection, of Beth Miller's disapperance is that cops reopened her case, when Columbus Ohio Detectives had arrested James Partin on pornography related charges: Dayton, Ohio Porn possessor gets out of jail--(Dayton Daily News) "A man Kettering police want to question about Erica Baker's disappearance has been freed from prison after serving two months of a five-year sentence for possessing child pornography. While searching Partin's residence, Columbus police found a newspaper clipping describing the 1983 disappearance of Beth Miller, 13, of Idaho Springs, Colo. About that time, Partin lived in the same neighborhood as Miller, who vanished while jogging and was declared dead in 1995. Her body was never found. It is said that photos of murdered child beauty queen, JonBenet Ramsey, were also found." I had basically forgotten all of this, until now, when I read Constantine's material: "Conflicting interest" may explain the inertia of detectives in Boulder when the photo of the young beauty contestant turned up in the home of a child pornographer in Columbus, Ohio suspected of involvement in the abduction of another Colorado girl. James Partin, 35, was arrested in December, 1997 for selling child pornography on the Net. Police searched Partin's home and found a newspaper clipping about the 1983 kidnap of Beth Miller, 14, and a map of Idaho Springs marked with several X's. The girl vanished after a jog near her Idaho Springs home, and Partin lived in the area at the same time. Boulder police announced that they would contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to learn more about the Ramsey photo in Partin's collection, but a local newspaper reported that they "do not believe that Partin had any involvement" in the slaying. "It's not a high priority," police spokeswoman Leslie Aaholm assured reporters.27 Did the DA's reluctance to question Partin about the JonBenet picture suggest an unwillingness to solve the case?" It's a curious thing how it could not be a high priorty to really investigate knowing this man had a map of Idaho Springs with "x'es" on it, a clip about the poor girls disapperance, photo/s of JonBenet and was being questioned about the disapperance of Erica Baker. But now seeing this Constintine story surface - I'm wondering if Partin isn't the one the Rasmey's have zoomed in on as being their patsy and with the fact about the stale link to the Green article and Haddon's connection with the paper, it sort of all makes sense to me. Anyways, that's what I pulled out of memory, after reading the article. Starling [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 5. What makes you think they're zooming in on him rather than protecting him becuz they're members of the same ring or another like it? Sure, they could be trying to nail him as a patsy, but the outsider unknown intruder theory just doesn't work, no way, no how. If HH has suppressed info about this, I would guess it's becuz it's running too close to home and the truth and will lead back to the Ramseys, MW, possibly the Whites, but certainly back to Boulder, heaven forbid! Posted by ibnora on 13:30:18 5/27/2000 From Rio's Attic Celebrating the Life and Times of River Phoenix http://www.river-phoenix.org/bookshelf/psychic-dictatorship/ Psychic Dictatorship by Alex Constantine First published in 1995. ISBN 0-922915-28-8 (Paperback, 221 Pages) Science of mind control, human guinea pigs, electromagnetic-pulse weapons, infra-sound guns, computer-aided mental projection, cranial surveillance devices, electromagnetic brain-blasters, cyborgian psychic driving techniques, ritual child abuse, psychoactive drug experimentation, computer-enhanced subliminal transmissions, etc. No, this is not the script of a popular TV series in which two smart FBI officers, looking for proof of an alien presence on Earth, uncover the machinations of some secret organisation. The author of this book takes his work very seriously as he intends to denounce the implication of both the Pentagon and the CIA in advanced technologies research and experiments on human beings. The human guinea pigs are not volunteers according to Alex Constantine and all those who tried to make this secret war public have just disappeared. In a 221 page book, after a first part dedicated to radio and electromagnetic control of the brain and before the last section which details several CIA covered operations, the second and largest part, called "Satanism & Cult Abuse of Children," tackles the links between the CIA and several cults in order to experiment psychological abuse. Chapter 8 concerns the radical Christian Cult the Children of God, the group of which River's parents were members from 1970 to 1977. It is here that River's name appears. The fatal speedball seizure of River Phoenix on Halloween night coincided in the media with the apocalyptic fire storm in Malibu and the death of Federico Fellini. In early September, newspapers in London and Buenos Aires headlined a story that directly concerned River Phoenix but, after the initial burst of coverage, was conspicuously absent from the American press - a raid on the Pilar, Argentina compound of the Family of Love, formerly the Children of God sect. After a description of what he later calls a "doomsday sect" or a "criminal syndicate," the author proposes what could have been an original hypothesis: The fatal overdose of River Phoenix on Halloween leaves hanging a host of questions concerning his death. Why is it, for instance, that three days later medical examiners announced that autopsy tests were inconclusive - but ruled out foul play? If the cause of death was unknown, how could the coroner possibly dismiss the possibility of murder? The day after he overdosed, the question reverberated on Hollywood streets: "Who killed River Phoenix?" Alex Constantine has his own answer: In fact, the death of River Phoenix coincided with investigations of the Family spreading across Latin America. The last thing the cult needed was a popular junkie film star shattering the news vacuum in the U.S. media by expanding, in some Hollywood fanzine, on his sexual initiation in a cult with notorious international political connections. In fact, River Phoenix had a reputation for talking too much. River Phoenix violated the cult's stricture of secrecy by discussing his early sexuality with reporters. Two years later, on All Hallow's Eve, at the most critical period in the Family's history, he was poisoned with a drug overdose. Had he lived, River Phoenix could have proven to be a dangerous liability to the cult, confirming reports of sexual abuse and child prostitution circulating throughout South America, but largely snubbed by the domestic press. Moses Berg's Family sleeps with powerful political allies. Did one of them have reason to silence River Phoenix? That's all and the way the author tells River's story it's the same with the rest of his book. He likes impressive words, audacious opinions, destabilising ideas and mysterious acronyms. Each reader will form his own opinion on Alex Constantine's possible paranoia or on his seriousness. Each one will have to decide if the reasons given for all these secret experiments are satisfactory or not. On a less serious note, the reader cannot help from probably feeling some irony when on page 69, after long chapters on electronic devices and advanced sciences, the author makes a mistake with a simple addition of percentages going up to 105%. Whatever the reader's opinion on cults or sects, it is difficult to accept that Alex Constantine does not present the beginning of the lesser proof to sustain his allegations. His real knowledge of the facts can be questioned if you focus on little details: for instance, he refers to River's mother as "Arlene." But mainly, even a dumb reader would ask obvious questions that have no convincing answers in the book. If River's famous interview was given in 1991, why did the sect and its "powerful political allies" wait until 1993 to get rid of him as he never talked about that story anymore and there is no evidence suggesting that he ever wanted to mention it again? The author also feels it is not worth mentioning River's later retraction of his statement as "a joke" at all. And if such a famous young actor like River could have been killed just for the reasons given in the book, it is unclear why such an unknown writer as Mr Constantine who, according to himself, spends his life persecuted by the CIA, has not also "disappeared" like many others if, as he claims, the Agency is almighty. ***end article [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 8. There is also someone called "daugh" who is posting the same thing. I haven't looked into this enough to see if daugh and Constantin are the same person, but it seems likely. If you click on Constantin's name, you can see his posting history, which is quite colorful. Right wing, CIA, and conspiracy newsgroups seem to be his favorite. Unfortunately, my files are still packed do to my move from Ca to Tx in late Jan. The case referenced was pertaining to a young girl in Wisconsin - that much I do remember. I will look for the box with the printouts I kept but it will take some time. If someone else has the time, they may want to re-read all the early files in the Longmont Times as (again if memory serves me) I believe this is where I found the reference. Oh yes, I believe this Wisconsin case also took place in the mid-80's but again I am stretching the old brain back 3 years. The real questions are: (1) where was Partin when JonBenet was murdered; (2) did Partin have a map of Boulder with x's marked on it; (3) were there any x's near the Rams house. Also, look at the MO...Partin kidnapped off the street...he didn't sneak into a home in the dead of night, hang out to torture and murder his victim, write a fake ransom note, and then leave. The BPD got search warrants for computers and went through the internet looking for pictures of JonBenet or some kind of link. They found none. IOW, anything on the internet relating to JonBenet was as a result of her murder. There was nothing out there on the net prior to the murder. Obviously, this Partin is a sexual deviant. But we don't live in Orwell's 1984...this is not a police state. Just because some sexual deviant in another state has pictures of a dead kid in CO doesn't mean "he's" her killer. What else did Partin have to link him to the CO crime. For the other crimes, there were plenty of links: he was in town at the time of the abduction; he had pictures; he had maps; he even had x's on his maps. It don't get no more obvious than that! I don't think at any time has there been real evidence that police have been reluctant to look into any and all possibilities, let alone show some unwillingness to solve the case. They've poured through pornography sites on the internet, they poured through personal and business harddrives, they've followed up in Amsterdam re JR's visits, they've been to numerous states coast-to-coast questioning witnesses from all walks...not just family, friends and/or acquaintances; they looked at the scum of the earth. How long and hard are these detectives supposed to work to "find" a link to sex rings and/or perverts. I would be more concerned to learn that JBR's picture was found in porn sites, or in the homes of perverts, and the cops never following up. But that's not the case here. What does it take to convince people that John and Patsy Ramsey didn't need to be card-carrying pornographers, or need guidebooks from known sex rings to exploit and abuse their own child? Lotsa links go stale after a while; I've tried to go to plenty long after the article was posted, only to find the link no good anymore. None of those sites had anything to do with sex or deviant behavior. Hell, there have been some magnificent posts right here at JW, many linked from other sources. But the server can only hold so many posts before they fall off into oblivion. Couldn't these stale links be nothing more simple than that? Starling, you are one of the best cybersleuths around. It has to do with sex, so what the hey, right? :-) I've badmouthed Krugman plenty of times because of "his" definition of sexual abuse. In going through Wecht's book again today (for the upteenth time!), I just happened to hit the page where Krugman was quoted. This is not how I remember it; iow, he was taken out of context. Here's what the man "actually" said: "I know nothing that I've seen that would make me think the primary finding is sexual abuse." That sentence has always been left out of the quote. Here's the rest: "I look at this and see a child who was physically abused and is dead. I don't believe it's possible to tell whether any child is sexually abused based on physical findings alone" Well jeesh! that puts a whole new spin on everything! I guess this just goes to show how much you can screw something up when you take it out of context! So to sum it all up, that's what I basically think of Constantine. Because after reading the article, that's what my gut instinct told me. I'm not trying to dismiss the entire article/story but nothing "connects" for me. It leaves me wondering - but if that is all this person has without connecting it to a main player then it's basically useless. Ginga stated to Starling: "I can't believe you're seriously considering a writer whose works are based on information syphoned from jameson!" Ginga - didn't you read the end of my post? "I'm wondering if Partin isn't the one the Rasmey's have zoomed in on as being their patsy and with the fact about the stale link to the Green article and Haddon's connection with the paper, it sort of all makes sense to me." I don't fall for anything without definately seeing a connection or seriously researching what I'm being told. If there is any conspiracy in this case - John and Patsy Ramsey are in it too. That much I know. If anyone else in involved, which remains to be seen or prooven, in the long run they will not be classified as an "intruder" who knew John and Patsy Ramsey in passing. And for what it's worth, I found the same information on Cybersleuths about Partin, that Jameson has. I'm sure Jameson syphoned it originally from there. She's not the lone source of everything. "Starling" Posted by Ginja on 17:39:19 5/27/2000 I certainly didn't mean to offend you. I was simply saying that, fwiw, I don't see the connection. And I haven't seen the Rams making any connection. The truth is, they'll throw anyone under the bus, as long as it ain't them! Jameson's been looking harder for this sick puppy than the Rams themselves! And then there's Smit. Between the two of them, they've given the Rams plenty of fodder...or at least, names...to go after. But even the Rams have stated that according to their own bought and paid for profile, the killer is a pedophile who was in Boulder on Christmas. Duh! Anyways, that was basically my question. Was Partin in Boulder. As far as the Rams fingering him, again, give 'em a name and out flies their fingers! As far as Partin being any kind of real "contender", I asked whether or not he was in Boulder, had maps, and X's over 15th St. in Boulder. As far as links, I find it difficult to believe editors would strip things off their sites simply because an attorney asked them to! The story of the century? I don't buy the conspiracies...any of them. (That's no reflection on you!) This is a simple case of two parents murdering their child, who have enough money to keep them from answering any questions or handing over incriminating evidence. The only people in cahoots with anyone is John and Patsy. To base conspiracy theories on attorneys owning land together, or editors cow-towing to defense attorneys in, as I said, the case of the century, just doesn't jibe. Attorneys across the country own property and partnerships and restaurants and who knows what else -- together. And plenty of links go stale after so much time -- or the server overflows. Actually, though, I do have a question. What difference does it make, if any? What's the big deal if JR points his fingers to just one more pedophile on the street? Aside from keeping him amused, it's gotten him nowhere. He's been pointing fingers at half the country! From maids to employees to small foreign factions. After a while, this really gets tedious. It's like the little boy who cried wolf. After a while, no one pays attention. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 14. At least, it doesn't have his name in front of the link as most of his columns do. In any case, I believe this story has to do with the reopening of the Sid Wells case in Boulder. Sid Wells was murdered in '83. The bad link indicates the story appeared July 25, 1997, and at Inside Denver, a story about the reopening of the Sid Wells case appeared on July 24, 1997. The connection of James Partin to the JBR case (and the '83 case of the missing girl) did not occur until January, 1998 (or possibly December, 1997, when he was arrested -- but it was not made public until January, 1998). Also, I think the reason the link is no good is because it was a "news" link as opposed to a "jon" link, which is the file extension the DP gives to JBR articles. The regular news stories go into the paid archives within a month or two, while the JBR stories remain in the free, JBR archives. I wasn't able to find the link which talks about what the OKC bombing and the JBR case have in common. If you can tell me the date, I would appreciate it. I do remember an article or Chuck Green column about both cases having the commonality of handwriting analysis, and also the fact that Michael Tiger, an atty for one of the bombers, worked out of Hal Haddon's office.
