"Good job Larry King!!!!!!!!" Posted by Savannah on 18:53:46 5/31/2000 Thank GOD that LK is letting Steve answer when John is interrupting. Actually it seems that LK wants the same answers from the Ramsey's as Steve!! This was too good. Too good. For any who missed it, it would be worth the $$$ to send for the transcipts and video!! "My favorite part" Posted by Kelly on 19:10:10 5/31/2000 was when Patsy looked at Steve Thomas and asked him "Did I write the ransom note before or after I killed Jon-?", then she stopped. At the beginning of the program I heard Patsy say that whoever wrote the ransom note also killed JonBenet and referred to the killer as a he. At the end of the show my husband heard Patsy refer to the ransom note writer as a "she". I didn't hear that, did anyone else catch those discrepancies? "snarling Patsy" Posted by Kelly on 19:12:23 5/31/2000 Did anyone notice in the first part of the program that Patsy leaned toward Steve Thomas and she was snarling, showing both her top AND bottom teeth? "I agree about Larry" Posted by Ryder on 19:26:17 5/31/2000 He did a great job tonight in directing this interview where it had to go. I think that ST won this one BIG TIME. From this morning's Today show, to LKL tonight, Patsy definitely had a bad hair day. When they first showed her, her head cocked to one side, one of her eyes looked almost closed. Must be some stress tick. And her mouth was set in the same disgust-bitterness with which she started the day. Okay, Beckner, tonight is the night to buuuuuuuuugh the place. The conversation should be interesting. At least they left Wood in the parking lot. But I'll bet he won't be there when they go find him. This was a really loaded interview, as one would have expected. I think this transcript will be worth a lot of careful scrutiny and comment. I though ST was effective in driving the point home that if JR was asleep, like he claims he was, he can't know that Pats was not responsible for the death. Interesting that in the heat, JR appears to have forgotten his rehearsed version of PR having been in bed before him and then when he got up to shower. They kept trying to get him to move into the "bedwetting" word. This may be the first time, in my entire LKL viewing experience, where I thought I knew what LK's opinion of the issue is. I thought Larry was really excellent. Anyone notice that they din't even have time for callers? Too much happening across the table. Every time they took a comercial break, I was expecting Patsy to not be there after it. She looked like she would explode. Her bid to religion, parents' love for their kids, didn't seem to convince Larry too much. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 10. "I will rewatch the tape" Posted by Ribaldone on 19:27:10 5/31/2000 and see if Patsy said "she." If she did, it was only one of many really bad mistakes they made. I'm going to try to find the part toward the end where John was defending Patsy against Thomas' theory that she killed her. He was very upset and said (paraphrasing), "she did not kill that child, she did not garrotte her, etc" Then Thomas interrupts and says, "you weren't there John." John just keeps talking and again Steve says, "you weren't there John." John is getting more and more angry and he says, "Yes I was!" Steve said, "you were there?" John says, "I was in the house and I know Patsy." Blah blah It was such an obvious trap and dumsh*t John fell right into it. Steve baited them to say and admit many damning things. I can't wait for the transcipts. I'll bet they'll be quick. The BPD is probably standing over them as they type it. As a matter of fact, I think the BDP should thank Steve for this. Steve, in case I haven't told you lately. I LOVE YOU. You deserve a metal (or an Emmy) for your performance. You kept your cool and hammered away at them. You baited them and got them to admit alot. I now know with absolute certainty why they refuse to be interviewed separately. If you had Patsy alone (or with another detective) in a room, she'd crack in an hour. Easy. She was scared sh*tless tonight. Toward the end (last half of show) she often looked very close to tears. I'm still dumbstruck. "Patsy's comment" Posted by Seashell on 19:22:29 5/31/2000 Why did she mention that the notewriter never mentioned her name? That came out of the blue and right out of her subconscious. There's something there that she's trying to say....... When are they going to ask about the incest/dictionary thingie? ST: So are you going to Boulder? JR: Silence, then change of subject JR changed the subject a lot and then accused ST of doing it. It was amazing to watch the Ramseys projecting, especially about ST writing the book to make money. They definitely belong in "People of the Lie." [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 9. "Kudos to Larry" Posted by Luvsbeagles on 19:32:10 5/31/2000 Much much better than expected....for those of you who didnt see it...really, it was that good. It was so good that MR LB who doesnt follow this at all was running to get back after the commercial breaks. I have to ask though...Just what is the weird thing going on with PR and Steve? Here is a guy accusing her of MURDER for petes sake and I swear she was flirting with him. "Its not really his fault..this young man didnt have leadership, you may be married...are you married? but no family...etc." It was rather creepy. I suppose she is used to controlling men through flirting rather than aggression..is that it? Nice to see that Jr FINALLY looked angry about something. Geesh. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 14. "Why?" Posted by Seashell on 19:33:35 5/31/2000 Why is JR so eager to have the public believe that her head was bashed last? First, how does anyone know that? And since he said it, I think the opposite is true. Head bashing first supports the rage theory, head bashing last supports the incest/sex abuse theory. He wants us to believe the latter theory, which suggests that PR is innocent. I have to think about this. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 11. "Will watch again" Posted by Shamrockpati on 19:28:14 5/31/2000 I watched a bit then listened to it while online chatting in JW chat room...what bothered me and many mnay othes is Patsy being unable to say JonBenet's name....that child and this child. Why? I think that Patsy looked so different from last week..WHAT HAPPENED. What made them do this go on with Steve Thomas like this? Is it that the majority of the public didn't take their polygraph and shout from the rooftops 'THEY ARE INNONCENT? Well sorry Pats that just won't happen. She looked heavily drugged and her face was very very bloated? Someone should put a fact shot of her last week and tonight side by side to see what is different about them. Steve did very will considering JR was trying to intimidate him and wouldn't let him answer most of the questions...and ol Pats got bery weird when Steve said right to her face "you did it" she must have had industrial strengh Depends on for that one.....bet she pissed her pants then. This case gets weirder and weirder every day. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 20. "Patsey's Dissociating!" Posted by MsPlum on 19:42:02 5/31/2000 Hi Ya'll, Been awhile. I had to chime in here. It was the first chance I really got to watch the Phatsey in action. Ya'll, she's sooooo dissociative! She was switching like a lightbulb all during that interview. My friend and I noticed at least 7 personality changes. 1. The mother, who did say "my daughther" at least a couple of times. 2. The religous one. 3. The one that says "Patsey Ramsey" didn't do it. Referring to herself in the third person is a biiiig clue. 4. The quiet submissive one who just sat there looking kinda spaced out when John and the others were talking. 5. The "protector" or in laymens terms the one who got into their faces a few times. The one that was glaring at ST when the camera first showed her. This is probably also the one that keeps referring to JB to "the child". 6. The "flirt", the one who wanted the verrry cute Steve Thomas. 7. The drama queen, nuff said on this one. She's not drugged up. She's dissociating. Notice when she closes her eyes right before she starts to say something, she is switching personalities. The eye thing may be another signal that a different alter is present. I have read tons here that she seems drugged. My personal take is that she is heavily dissociative, and Patsy probably didn't do anything. But, from what I can see, Patsy isn't alone in there. Someone inside her either did it or knows who did it and Patsy is either amnesic to it or in denial that a part of her could do such a thing. JMHO of course. Thought the show was great! And ya'll have had me and my friend rolling with laugther over your posts about the show! Ya'll are great! Ms. Plum [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 26. "John Did It" Posted by straykat2 on 19:43:47 5/31/2000 I am trying to remain calm so that I can say what I am about to say with some clarity. John was so overzealous in his attempt to defend his poor Patsy that I am starting to think HE is the one that murdered JonBenet and is using Patsy to help him cover it up. This way he gets to look like a hero while being a murderer. Team Ramsey appears to be slipping. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 22. It's clear that she wants people to know that she is in the habit of wearing the same clothes several times in quick succession. (Can you say beaver boot?) 3. The Rammers didn't want to discuss evidence at all. They kept asking Steve what it was in their backgrounds that would sugggest to Steve that they were the killers. (Typical defense lawyer ploy. "Not impressed" Posted by frankg on 19:48:53 5/31/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 19:48:53, 5/31/2000 Could someone please tell me why they thought Steve did a good job? I thought he made a lot of concessions. He admitted he has no details of the events of the evening and that his rage initiated murder is basically a hunch. He conceded the case had probable cause but not beyond reasonable doubt. When the Ramsey's were saying they would come to Boulder with their investigators to exchange information, Thomas agreed that would be a good start. Excuse me... aren't the Ramsey's still the lead suspects? No one investigating this murder can allow the Ramsey's to participate in the investigation, that would be outrageous. And he allowed the Ramsey's to make their point about their clean past history and Steve had nothing to counter it. I was disappointed. I don't think this interview, which IMO was ill-conceived in the first place, did anything to further this case. It certainly didn't hurt the Ramsey's. Steve offered nothing as solid evidence against them. Negative comments about their looks, their sneers, their smirks, etc., is getting old and is not going to win a conviction. And BTW, I thought once again, Larry did a lousy job of running the interview. The three of them were talking over each other all night long and Larry looked like a deer caught in headlights. At one break he couldn't even think of what they were going to come back to... Edited to add that I thought Patsy succeeded in making the point the Arndt "knew" it was John and Steve "knows" it's Patsy... and these two worked on the same force. I guess the case isn't as obvious as the BPD would like us to believe. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 25.
