Posted by mary99 on 17:58:42 6/03/2000 Christmas of 1999 I sent a generic bluemountain.com musical Christmas card. I don't remember the exact message, but I do remember how depressed I was during the holiday season to have the upcoming third anniversary of JonBenet's murder pass without resolution. I expressed sadness at her passing during a joyous season, and then slammed them with my sentiments that if not for the actions of the Ramseys themselves, her murder would not remain unsolved three years later. If I had to do it over again, I think this time around I would not confront them as murderers (as much as I'd like to), but instead offer my opinion that if they wish to honor JonBenet's memory, it's better to stand and be judged than to live a lie that denies justice its due process. Since John said that every stranger he has met and every email he has gotten is full of encouragement and kind words I thought maybe I would change that. Since the chances of me running into them in an airport or a grocery store is about nill, I might just send an email and offer my thoughts. I sent them a tip regarding a possible suspect, gleaned from some Websleuthing I'd been doing. It was a solid tip, not just some theory. No response. Frankly I don't think anyone on their end is even looking at that stuff. By the way, my strong feeling is that the person I tipped them on is totally innocent. And for that reason I will not divulge the person's name. But it was something that bore looking into and I assumed their people would want to look into it. Maybe they did. But if so, no one got back to me about it. I think the whole thing is just more camouflage, smoke and mirrors, they are NOT looking for a killer, they are looking for reasonable doubt. I wondered if anyone besides me, thought that the placement of the PerpSketch, on the Ramsey's homepage was about as tasteless as everything else they do? I mean, at the top of the page, you see these beautiful, heartwarming and heartbreaking photos of JonBenet, and then as you scroll down, you see this ridiculous psychic sketch and message. Why not...if they really had to put it up on the website, post a prominent note/link indicating that there is now new information on the evidence link or profile link, and leave the front page clean?? Just a silly little complaint, I suppose, but it seems that JonBenet, as she was in life and as she is in memory, are always the least important thing to the Ramseys. However, another forum reported recently that the screen name for that address showed up online at exactly the time when Patsy and John were appearing on LKL. Hmm....I know nothing about how that show is produced - as in whether it could've been taped hours earlier, freeing up Patsy to go online and check out the feedback from her live appearance??? Posted by Jeanilou on 08:25:01 6/04/2000 Sorry about the caps but I wanted go get your attention. I never meant to imply that we should stalk or spam anyone. My question was and is a sincere one. I was curious if any had ever had contact with the Ramseys. I was mostly curious it they only respond to their supporters. I do intend to write them. They have put both the AOL screen name and the web site out in the public domain. The AOL screen name is stated on page 374 of their book DOI and the other email address in on their web page. This is already info in the public domain. The Ramseys put it out their themselves and posting it here is just like when you post any other information on here that is already in the public domain. But if this is unacceptable to the forum, then I am sorry for my actions. I guess I screwed up. Again! (Story of my life. A little humor here.) I personally believe I have the right to correspond with anyone I desire, but I do not spam or flame or stalk. So many times I have watch the Ramseys on TV and wished for some way to convey how I felt about it. Even when I express my displeasure, I do it in a well-mannered way. But again I apologize for any trouble I started. That was not my intention. I only was curious to know that if I wrote them, would it generate a response or if the email addy on their webpage was just there for appearances. I had my doubts. Again, I apologize to this forum and to Chris, our moderator. And I especially apologize to another member of the forum for causing trouble for her. She knows who she is and I am truly sorry. I NEVER meant for that to happen. And I am by NO MEANS wanting to incite ANYONE to stalk, flame or spam anyone! Please forgive me. I have AOL but it is so quirky, that I use Netscape for everything but email. If you have cable access it is not much to keep an AOL account (you don't pay for the phone access so AOL gives you a deal) just for email. So my point is the Rams may just log on to AOL briefly for email and could still be spending hours reading Justice Watch through Netscape or Internet Explorer. It distresses me that anyone might want to do such a thing, and did not occur to me. I believe I may have been exceptionally naive when I posted information I found via an online search engine. Although the information is "publicly available" it does make sense that the consequences of posting such information in a forum devoted to the Ramsey case only amplifies the possibilities that someone reading here, who is not a forum member, may focus on such information and use it in an inappropriate fashion. So, I removed the offending information, and also apologize. Jeanilou also wrote: >And I am by NO MEANS >wanting to incite ANYONE to stalk, >flame or spam anyone! Please forgive >me. Agreed! I got an email from John Ramsey (yeh, right) that said that the foundation was moved to Atlanta and every little bit counts. If I had the address I'd send another check to see if they cash it. Could be right or wrong or near. It's like the time I thought the unibomber might have been someone who knew about the other famous bomber, when I was in jr.high. But it wasn't him. The unibomber turned out to be Ted K, but I had heard a couple of people talking about a real smart guy, but who some thought was strange, but who they thought was wasn't. I was so irritated when JR snarled at ST that the proceeds from his book were going to charity. They get away with SO much. There's certainly enough things in this case that deserve a look-see, and that's one of them,CS. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 43. If you do not feel right about accepting the $, you can always donate it to a legit charity. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 42. "The Foundation" Posted by janphi on 18:36:53 6/04/2000 At one time in the not-too-distant past (I've only been here two months, so it has been in that time span), the tax returns for the Foundation were posted at jameson's, they might still be in a document archive somewhere. But we had several long threads here about the legitimacy of it. Too much detail to write about now, but it seems like the latest year they showed was 1998, with an accumulated intake in the $5,000 range (??), I think, and maybe a balance in the $2-3,000 range (???). I noted that $1200 came in 1998 and $1500 was written off for a computer. Where did I just read today that JR said $14,000 had been received and paid out to children's charities (which he couldn't/wouldn't name)--oh yeah, one of the newspaper articles this week--maybe today? Hope someone checks that out more thoroughly. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 47. "Tax Returns" Posted by JR on 09:23:13 6/05/2000 Hmmmm...Janphi....many people can and do prepare their own tax returns - doesn't mean they filed them. Food for thought. I have emailed them at the address on their site and posted that email on a thread here a few weeks back. I have never received a response and in fact the email "bounced" so either the address is much like the tip line phone numebr in DOI or their ISP was down. "JonBenet Foundation tax records" Posted by why_nut on 13:51:48 6/05/2000 If anyone wishes to examine the tax form filed by the Foundation for 1998's tax year, it can be found at: http://members.aol.com/whynut/ The deadline to file the 1999 tax year's Form 990PF was May 15th, so I shall be filing a request for a copy. I expect it to be interesting. John and Patsy were likely issued the advance for their book late in 1999. They should have put the proceeds into the Foundation, as they have said often that they would. The tax record should reflect this event, unless they have done something as un-Christian as lie about what they were going to do with the money. They wouldn't really use AOL, would they? I remember when I started on the internet back in 96 with AOL. Once your "user name" was established, you could be easily followed practically everywhere via that name, and that was your e-mail addy also. If they're truly there, they probably have "public" (AOL) and "private" (firewalled, encrypted, or whatever) access. JMHO. If they're truly >there, they probably have "public" (AOL) >and "private" (firewalled, encrypted, or whatever) >access. JMHO. I have AOL and have had it for over 3 yrs now. And yes AOL does make it easy to track somoene because you can do a locate and find out where they is at that time. BUT AOL also has protections devices built in. You can block everyone from seeing u online if u choose. I use do this a lot when I was working on one many webpages until I got smart and set up a screen name just for my web page business. And once u block your screen name or user name, unless u have a profile, NO ONE can find you. I think the Ramsey's do use AOL. I think the one in their book is legit for sure and I think the one I was given by another Justice Watch member is legit too. I did IM who I believe to be Patsy using that screen name (the one supplied by the JW member) and got a very ambigious response back from that person. They did NOT deny that she might be using that screen name. I will post what I wrote to them but I will change the screen name or user name of the person I was talking to for my own protection. I don't want a TOS on my AOL account. I need my account for my business. I have yet to IM the name in the Ramsey book, JonBenetinfo but I am in the process of writing a letter to that user name with some questions I have. I doubt I get a response but I can try. Here is the IM, with the user name, or screen name replaced by X's. As you can see, I was very cautious in what I said. Had she identified herself as Patsy, I would have asked the questions I wanted to ask her but I had to be sure I had the right person 1st to protect myself and my account. Make out of whatever you want: Begin IM - 6/4/00 01:43 PM Jeanilou: Is this really Patsy Ramsey or was I given wrong information? XXXXX: What? Jeanilou: Sorry to bother you but I was told I could reach Patsy Ramsey via this screen name. Is that correct? XXXXX: I don't know. This is my lover screen name. Jeanilou: Okay. I am a bit confused. You don't know if you are P. Ramsey or not? Or you don't know if your lover is using this screen name as Patsy? I am not wanting to intrude on your privacy but I am curious. I beg your pardon if I have reach the wrong person. I was going to email when I saw you pop on line to ask the same questions. Jeanilou: It is as simple as this: I am doing some research on line about the JonBenet Ramsey case and someone told me I could contact her mother using the Pstyr screenname Jeanilou: I just want to verify one way or another Jeanilou: If I have the wrong party, I apologize. And I won't intrude anymore And with that who ever it was signed off. Jean [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ]
