"Louise Hay Interpretation (Repost)" Posted by Chris on 05:21:05 6/06/2000 Sorry, this thread was the victim of thread locking. "A Louise Hay Interpretation of JBR's Illnesses" Posted by Seashell on 16:25:49 6/05/2000 New Age Physicians would tell us right now that physical problems of any kind are a reflection and outpicturing of emotional/spiritual problems. Here's what Louise Hay, in her book, "You Can Heal Your Life" has to say about some of the problems affecting JBR. Allergies: Who are you allergic to? Asthma: Smother love. Inability to breathe for one's self. Feeling stifled. Suppressed crying. Bad Breath: Anger and revenge thoughts. Experiences backing up. Bedwetting: Fear of parent, usually the father Loss of Balance: Scattered thinking. Not centered. Breathing problems: Fear or refusal to take in life fully. Not feeling the right to take up space or even to exist at times. Bronchitis (cough) Inflamed family environment. Arguments and yelling. Sometimes silent. Childhood diseases: Belief in calendars and social concepts and false laws. Childish behavior in the adults around them. Chronic diseases: Fear of the future. Not feeling safe. Insomnia: Fear. Not trusting the process of life. Guilt. Sinus Problems: Irritation to one person. Someone close. Vaginitus: Anger at a MATE. Sexual guilt. Punishing the self. Well, Dr. Quack/Beuf? Boulder is so NEW AGE, most any other pediatrician would have suspected something amiss. BTY, Louise Hay cured herself of cancer, using her own formula, a tiny bit of which I've posted above. Posted by maundy on 09:06:12 6/06/2000 Flipped thru Myss' book once. she irritated me. i ranacross a section on adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. she felt they were "focusing" too much on what happened, yadda yadda. i think my impression was she was part of the problem. she was saying, hey get over it. i read a book once about chakras and how abuse manifests in the body. sexual abuse manifests injury to the aura thru the second chakra, often resulting in illnesses to the reproductive organs. the other problem, of course, is when a chakra isn't clear, the others are affected. perosnally i think our primary problem is locked heart chakras. i remember reading about Jill Ireland in Life(?) when she had breast cancer. she was into holistic healing, and she said she could visualize this switch inside, but she couldn't turn it on to heal. i have a book by rabbi shoni lebowitz. she says God heals us to enable us to complete our destiny. not because he loves one more than another. You're better than Lazuras! Maundy, that was a very interesting post, especially about seeing the switch but not being able to turn it on. I think there a lots of ways to help open the chakras - meditation, acupuncture, cranial sacral work, massage, yoga, tai chi to name a few. And I think that trauma, fear, worry, negativity of any time can close them up. Little JonBenet definitely had some problems way too easily passed off as childhood diseases. And Dr. Beuf, AT BEST, was/is ignorant. Medical intuitives are still being poo-pooed by left brained thinkers, but slowly, they're becoming highly respected as diagnosticians. They get to the root of the problem, whereas traditional Western medicine usually treats only the symptom. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 7. "healing " Posted by maundy on 16:11:04 6/06/2000 short timer, all that seashell listed would assist in healing. i'm not sure of the book's name. i am going to look for it. i think it was by a "touch" healer. so far, hers was the only book re: chakras i have seen that associated sexual abuse with illnesses that occur later in life. many seem to think it is western puritanism that closes them. hardly. that is the theory put forth by crowley d.icke and walsch. i think their channels need to be scrubbed. ginja has talked about stress causing illness. the medical evidence agrees with her. dr dean ornish's healing program includes yoga, meditation and group support. also a vegetarian diet which reduces stress on the body as animal proteins are harder to digest. (i've also heard the theory that the adrenalin the animal releases when it is killed is absorbed when we eat meat). the celestine prophecy, although it's been years since i read it, talked about eating lighter also. i believe there are psychological blocks to healing that a lot of these therapies help alleviate, ameliorate, and bring to our consciousness. i believe there can be pain in working thru the traumas we have experienced. i believe there is pain in not working thru them, afflicted and inflicted. as my chiropractor once said, pain is a great motivator. as marianne williamson said, we can learn thru joy, also. "maundy" Posted by Seashell on 16:55:44 6/06/2000 maundy re: chakras: "many seem to think it is western puritanism that closes them. hardly." I definitely think western puritanism/religion closes them. Very hard! :-) After all, until recently sex was considered sinful outside of matrimony; (maybe still is) being gay is still considered sinful; and God forbid anyone should ever have an extra-marital affair. You go to Hell for all that stuff. Don't get me started on puritanism. IMO anything that instills guilt or fear closes the chakras. And when the chakras close, the way opens for Jim Jones, pedophile rings and crimes like what happened to little JBR. Not to mention the multitude of other crimes against humanity. "Chakra shock" Posted by Anton on 17:23:30 6/06/2000 I found that chakra therapy helps a great deal, although I found that some of the therapies are, for me, merely gimmicks and rituals. But then, so is church. What works, works. In my experience, I had to relax, cope with the stress of being stressed. That is, the deep "existential" stress wouldn't relax easily, but I could relax my attitude about being stressed. Accept that I'm stressed. Meditation and a good, long hot bath did it for me. Once that point was reached, understanding that I was stressed for reasons I couldn't yet understand, I could then focus without fear on healing myself. Talking to others didn't help because I didn't trust others' perceptions. I had to learn to trust my own perceptions. Chakras "talk" to you if you let them, same way that your belly tells you "must have pizza" or whatever. At least one of my chakras kept telling me "damn it, would ya let go?". So eventually I did. That is one scary process. But it works and it feels great afterwards. I still meditate. And that list of interpretations is right on target, IMO. A reason for everything, everything for a reason. For those interested in centering (highly recommended), here's a little saying I use to get myself there: In the moment, all is forgiven; the past is nevermore and the future never comes. "mmmmm" Posted by maundy on 17:26:53 6/06/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 17:26:53, 6/06/2000 read psychohistory. the author's name escapes me, but the abuse of children, esp sexual, has only begun changing in this century. the author's thesis is our society reflects the cradle. ergo, societal sexual attitudes come from adults who were sexually abused as children. hang out with pedoviles on the net for a while. they believe that it is the puritanical attitudes of adults keeping children from having "loving, sexual realtionships" with adults. after all, more enilightened societies like the Greeks institutionalized abuse...uh, pederasty. http://www.psychohistory.com [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 11. "anton" Posted by Seashell on 18:11:59 6/06/2000 You said, "Chakras "talk" to you if you let them." Please elaborate as I do yoga and meditation, but haven't yet "heard" my chakras, unless discomfort or pain in an area of the body indicates "talking." Pain can also indicate that something long held inside is finally being released and healed. That's an interesting concept from Dr. Michael Ryce, who says that what's painful going in is also painful coming out. Great input, everybody! Whatever area a particular chakra involves will likely become the focus during meditation if that area is out of balance (fear upsetting the stomach, indicates something uncoordinated or unbalanced in that chakra, for instance). I've never been able to keep track of what chakra is number what; math has always been arbitrary to me. I add two plus two and get four-letter words. So when I get deeply relaxed (through meditation or whatever), I "listen" to whatever area is unbalanced. Most of that "talk and listen" is unconscious, for me. I sometimes repeat a mantra of sorts in which I combine words that are complementary opposites -- talking and listening, for example, or feeling and touching, love and hate. After awhile, as I get more relaxed, the words change combinations and the words that "stand out" can indicate which chakra, which area is upset, uncoordinated or unbalanced. Sometimes just realizing where the upset is resolves the upset. Letting the chakra "talk" relieves the pressure. Hope that helps. If not, we can blame my "brain chakra". Edited to add: I think the book is Hands of Light by Barbara Brennan. Edited again because I wrote 2nd when I meant 6th. I have no idea if that is a Jungian slip or not. "Chakras and healing" Posted by river on 06:07:42 6/08/2000 After 12 years, my 'New Age' bookstore burned down in a block fire last Nov. I sold tons of Louise Hay books and tapes, though personally I didn't care for her theories. I felt she victimized the victims too often, and I didn't care for that approach, though it is true in some cases. (not all) Anyway, the most popular book on chakras and healing we ever sold was 'Hands of Light' written by Barbara Brennan. She does many workshops around the country.
