"Steve Thomas" Posted by Ruthee on 11:15:58 6/12/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 11:15:58, 6/12/2000 The handwriting challenge. I know how to "make myself nervous" when I write with a Shapie. The pen I used is a fine point, but I've had it a good while and the tip is blunted. It's obvious that the words and letters you will see are not traced. It is not my intent to duplicate the ransom note writing, it's my intent to duplicate the "nervous" writing of the first portion of the note. It took me about five minutes to look at the note on my tv screen and reproduce what you see here. The effect you will see is not from drawing, it involves pressure and support for the note. If you're interested in more information, let me know. I have left this file in a large format, so it will take a while to download. http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Nebula/9337/mynote.jpg [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 1. "Way to go, Ruthee!" Posted by janphi on 11:05:15 6/12/2000 Looks good! But you know, you made the same mistake PR did--you didn't read the instructions and follow them! I think this is so funny--written on the barrel of every Sharpie(r) is this message: Sanford Series No. XXXXX Sharpie(r) FINE POINT PERMANENT MARKER PERMANENT ON MOST SURFACES QUICK DRYING RECAP WHEN NOT IN USE DO NOT SHAKE Sanford FINE POINT (AP NON-Toxic logo) PERMANENT MARKER NOT FOR LETTER WRITING OR CLOTH NONTOXIC CONFORMS TO ASTM D-4236 MADE IN U.S.A. Tee hee--cracks me up every time I notice it! You know those Rams, rules were not made for them!! Hey, Ruthee, did you look at the Hawaiian "huna" page I posted that showed an alphabet of handwriting that will supposedly "make your life better"? The J and the R look just like some letters we have seen before! (The R is actually the same as JR's signature and the R in Ramsey on the "note." Suppose they read that BEFORE the novel-writing began that fateful night?) Thanks again for all your time and devotion to JfJBR, Ruthee! "janphi" Posted by Ruthee on 11:38:11 6/12/2000 I wish I had time to change my handwriting. :-) Of course if I had to do it, I guess I could find the time. I almost forgot one small point. I think I read somewhere that there was a "beaver hair" in the evidence collection. I also read somewhere that Patsy Ramsey left the house in a fur coat. Now was it beaver or did it have a beaver collar. In the winter when you travel, you wear your coat or jacket while you're in your car. I've been reading today and wondering. Did the Ramseys hit a beaver with one or both of their cars? Ya just never know, do ya. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 4. "BeaverBoots" Posted by Dunvegan on 12:18:11 6/12/2000 My understanding was that Patsy had a pair of beaver-skin boots which she wore during the winter of 1996. Makes you go Hmmmmmm... but then, the Patsy is the Queen of the Cretins, and seems to be believed NO MATTER how outrageous her statements are. I wish they'd fry her, but she may never even be tried, and that is sad. I don't think this case will ever go to trial. They have beat the rap, and since they refuse to speak to the cops, (a remarkable thing for the parents of a murdered chuild, don't ya know) it's tough for the cops when they can't interview the perps. "Dunvegan" Posted by Ruthee on 12:24:40 6/12/2000 I heard that too. The Ramsey spokesmouth denies that. I also read that she wore those boots during one of the handwriting sample appointments. I also read that she refused to surrender the boots. I also read that she left the house in a fur coat. One thing that I haven't read, but I may read soon, is the possiblilty that a beaver hair was found in one or both of the automobiles. Just another cook in the kitchen to spoil the pudding. He also writes that Patsy wore the fur trimmed boots when she gave a hand writting sample, or when she was giving non-testimonial evidence. I can't remember which. The Beaver hair was found on the tape John Ramsey claims to have pulled from JonBenet's mouth. Steve wrote that Patsy left the hell-whole wearing a fur coat on Dec. 26, 96. (He didn't use the word hell-whole.) Loved your handwritting sample. socks/midnite [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 9. Forgive my ignorance, Ruthee, but I'm not getting the significance of a fiber in the car matching a fiber at the crime scene. They already have fiber/fur from Patsy's clothing worn that night on the duct tape (and who knows where else) so that links Patsy to the crime scene. So why does the fiber in the car add significance? Patsy was in the car so you would expect fibers from her clothing to be there. Help me out. The answer's probably right in front of my face and I'm not seeing it. (that happens sometimes) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 12. "I have a confession to make......" Posted by sabrina on 19:22:00 6/12/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 19:22:00, 6/12/2000 A few times I helped my ex's 9 year old write letters to profession athletes asking for autographs. He got about a 50% return rate! I have to confess after my ex became my ex, I decided I wanted an autograph so I copied the 9 year old's penmanship, it was a little shaky, just like the ransom note. I just remembered I did this. (You see, these 22 year old multi millionaires are more prone to send back an autograph to a 9 year old than an adult.)It worked, and I got an autographed card back in the mail. (maybe the secretary signed it-- I hope not) Anyway, I remember it was easy for me to make my handwriting look like a kids and be a little shaky, just like what Ruthee says here, and I think I used a sharpie-type pen too! They have never found a match for the fibers. Patsy Ramsey asked Pam to pick up the black pants she wore the night of the murder when Pam picked up other items from the house. She mentioned they were a favorite pair. Pam picked them up. The police never got them. When Patsy was in Atlanta for the funeral and ask a friend to get the black pants for her. As far as I know they have not been seen again. There is some question that the clothes submitted to the Police Department long after the murder as suspected to be replacements for the actual clothes worn the night of the murder. "Thanks Ruthee" Posted by Ribaldone on 20:38:52 6/12/2000 I had briefly forgotten about "those" dark fibers. And yes I recall that it took Patsy close to eighteen months to return over her clothing and when she finally did the shirt appeared to be too small and brand new. The audacity of these people never ceases to amaze me. Yep, definitely the behavior of innocent parents who want to find the murderer of their daughter. Posted by BearCat on 06:08:51 6/13/2000 you say everything you know you learn from susie-q. And now you're deducting that the BPD has matched fibers from the crime scene to fibers found in the R's car. What's been said over at the "other" forum to lead you to that conclusion? I've been avoiding going over to the other side for a while now. But, I love the fact that you keep a calm outlook and can see through their "logic" to find out the real meaning behind what they say. BearCat, coming out of deep hybernation briefy, and going back into hybernation. But, before I go back to lurking, I was in Denver a few weeks ago. Thought about taking the short drive to Boulder. But, I just couldn't. I went to Colorado Springs and visited there instead. The thought of going to Boulder just depressed me so much, so I made the decision to go south and see Pike's Peak and the Garden of the Gods and the Air Force Academy. Mr. BC will be in Denver on and off the entire summer. Maybe if I go back, I'll muster up the strength to visit Boulder. But, maybe I won 't. "Ruthie" Posted by Watching you on 06:16:30 6/13/2000 I have a problem with the black pants thing. I've seen this before, and I didn't understand it. If Patsy was wearing the same clothes on the morning of December 26 (and throughout that day) that she was wearing the night before, December 25, and she left the house wearing those same clothes, how could the pants she was wearing the night before still be in the house for Pam to pick up?] I know Pam picked up black pants, and I thought they were some kind of velvet fabric, which could easily leave fibers, but how can Patsy be wearing them when they were in the house? What am I missing here? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 20. "Velvet or Jeans" Posted by Chris on 06:32:36 6/13/2000 I thought that the black pants Pam picked up were black jeans. At any rate, these pants bother me. Your murdered child has just been found in your home and you have the presence of mind to ask your sister to go back and get your favorite pair (isn't that how they were described?) of black jeans. I wonder where these black pants were...in the washer or dryer? I'm confused about the wearing the same clothes statement as well... Perhaps the same clothes statement refers to the sweater and top? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 22. "Hello Chris/Watching You" Posted by Ruthee on 07:10:48 6/13/2000 I understand the confusion. I'm just as confused as anyone, but I've been thinking. (a dangerous thing for me) I always remember Grant saying "you only know, what you think you know." I heard about the black jeans and the black velvet pants. I doubt Patsy Ramsey would have worn black jeans to a Christmas dinner, she would have worn black velvet pants. I think she had the same shirt and jacket on the next morning, but her pants were jeans, and not the black velvet pants that she probably wore to the party. I think she changed them for some reason. I believe the "same clothes she wore the night before, included her jacket and shirt only. I believe that fibers from the black velvet pants may have been transferred to the vehicle and also transferred to the groin area of JBR. It's possible that the police have found a match on both of those fibers, but don't have the original source. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 21. "Chris" Posted by Watching you on 06:53:26 6/13/2000 I don't remember where I read it, maybe it was in ST's book, but I'm pretty sure (not entirely sure) something was said about Patsy liking those particular jeans because they were comfortable - and some kind of velvety material. Anyone can feel free to call me on that one, because I may not have that memory right. I too thought it was mighty strange that Patsy would want that particular pair of jeans out of all the clothes she had. Something really weird there, but I still don't understand how she could be wearing them and still have them in the house for Pam to pick up. Something isn't jiving there. "Okay, Ruthie" Posted by Watching you on 07:33:38 6/13/2000 that makes sense, especially since it seemed so important for Patsy to get her hot little hands on them. Did she change at the Hellhole while the yellow tape was going up, or when the older kids stood on the curb listening to"uh uh uh uh I'm so sorry"? I find it equally suspicious that a bereaved JR snapped out of it long enough to request the retrieval of his GOLF CLUBS.
