      Tonight in chat we had a virus scare. Starry came in and unbeknown to her,
      she was sending a DCC file to all who came in after her. It was this :

      LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.HTM

      She did NOT know she was doing this, it was doing it all on it's own. So a
      warning to all who come to IRC, do NOT accept any files that you do not
      know are coming and Never accept one from someone you do not know.

      It looks like everyone canceled the transfer quickly thanks to LizzieB's quick
      alert and no one has it that was in there. But the above warning is a good
      one to remember at all times. NEVER take a file when you don't know what
      it is or who it is coming from BEFORE the file is sent. These viruses send
      files without the sender's knowledge.

      Symantec has this free download to check for a particular new virulent
      virus.

      This one has links to various sites that have some free virus scanning
      software in case yours is old or you don't have any.
