"Whereabouts of Mr Thomas" Posted by Ellique on 16:51:52 6/17/2001 Where is Mr. Thomas? Is he really in Europe? What is he doing there when he is head over heels bent on raising money in the good old USA? If he is indeed in Europe, no way of getting him back for a civil trial if he decides to stay there!!!! Maybe that is why he was a no-show for the Miller trial. Is he flubbing his nose or what? If he turnes out to be a no-show for his own trial, his goosed is cooked but that won't make him have to pay up of course. Wonder how much property he owns in the USA? Bet he has "transferred" "all" his property, just in case. Does anyone know where Mr Thomas actually is as of this day? What do JWers think of this ploy if It turns out to be correct? "Lique" Posted by JR on 17:14:36 6/17/2001 My...my...this post is not up to par for the professed "non-judgemental" Ellique IMHO. You disappoint me "L." Rumors get started like this. Where in the world did you ever come up with the idea that Steve "has "transferred" "all" his property just in case?" [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 3. "Not my day to watch" Posted by Watching you on 17:32:39 6/17/2001 Steve Thomas. Whose day is it, anyways? Sparky, is it your day to watch Steve Thomas? For someone who likes to accuse others of having hate in their hearts, el, you sure can write a mean hateful post yourself. Hypocritical is what it's called. Steve Thomas is a very fine man who exposed the squalor and corruption in Boulder. Good for him. We need more law enforcement officers like Steve Thomas to step up to the plate. I wouldn't know how to start a rumor if I tried. Tell you what I will do. I will go back and and re-check my source and get back to you. As to the transferrance of Mr. Thomas's property, well, that was a "perhaps" on my part if he really has moved to Europe. Will be back soon. "Gee, El" Posted by driver on 18:00:29 6/17/2001 Maybe he just got a bunch of his friends to form a little group and buy his homestead from him. Ya think? I understand it has been done before by others. 'Course there could have been lots of different reasons for that one, n'est-ce pas? Hate to see you posting on this Father's Day afternoon. Ya' mean all of your kids have come and gone already and just left you all by your lonesome in the gazebo? Bummer. BTW, how are those gums? Why is he there? How long will he stay? Is he getting ready to fold and let his publisher take the heat? Is he trying to avoid being deposed? Has he transferred any property held in the USA so as to make it very hard to get at? These are questions and not rumors. I am sorry, JR, but my post was not a rumor. I did not say that Mr. Thomas "had" transferred any funds. I just posed the scenario just wondering. Love, Ellique [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 12. "Driver" Posted by Ellique on 18:27:41 6/17/2001 Kids have indeed come and gone. Not by my lonesome though. Billy Bob Bodine and his wife, Brounhilda, are coming over in a few minutes to have a sasparilla. They are our nearest neighbors up the river about a mile away. Of course my wife is here with me. When our company leaves, We are going to watch "The Gods must be Crazy" for the 2nd time. Have any of you JWers ever seen that movie? It is the wildest and funniest damn picture I have seen lately. After that, I will try to get a good nights rest and get ready to have the stitches out tomorrow. Then I have to go for a consult with the dentist and another fellow who will make my teeth. I have collected about a dozen pictures of me showing how my teeth looked as I aged. They have promised me that if I pay what they will ask for my teeth, they will make pair after pair until I am completely satisfied. I will of course have them put that in writing. Now back to the subject: I don't think Mr Thomas is wise to make himself scarce i e move to Germany. I have said all along that he stands a good chance to be victorious but no way can he win if he decides to be a no-show. L he won't even get attorneys fees in that case. JWers, if old Steve is galavanting in Germany, I WONDER if he is using his donations. I want some of you who are more adept at sleuthing to go find out about old Steve. Is he really skipping out, or what? Love, Ellique [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 8. "The rest of the story" Posted by Watching you on 18:14:45 6/17/2001 NOTE: This message was last edited 18:14:45, 6/17/2001 Steve's wife was transferred to Germany for her job. According to her nibs at the swamp, he is helping her set up housekeeping. Of course, her nibs slips in a few questions - does this mean Thomas and his wife are splitting up? Does this mean he might now show up for civil suit? Is he transferring assets to others? Steve will not be available for depositions through July. I doubt very much that he will not come back here for civil trials. Post Edit: Oh. Isn't is such a coincidence that Ellique asks the same questions that her nibs at the swamps asks. Your questions (not rumors) were interesting. Could you shed any light on the following questions (not rumors) I pose? Why did Patsy go to The Holy Land? How long was she there? Is she getting ready to fold and let her husband take the heat? Has she been trying to avoid being deposed? Has she transferred any property held in the USA so as to make it very hard to get at? I am not saying any of this is so. I just posed the scenario just wondering. Love, driver [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 11. "A.K." Posted by LurkerXIV on 18:26:20 6/17/2001 It is my understanding that the Bureau now has offices all over the world, since they have more or less taken over the duties of the CIA for foreign investigations of terrorists, etc. This is probably a big promotion for Mrs. Thomas. Of course, Steve will go with her. He is a dutiful husband. And his job is portable. It's no biggie. Two career couples make moves like this all the time. And if Lin Wood-for-Brains wants to depose Steve, he'll just have to get his flabby ass on a plane and fly to Germany. My Son-in Law told me that Mr Thomas had flew the coop this morning. I have got to run now to drink my sasparilla (sp). Good night and don't let the bedbugs bite. "LXIV" Posted by A.K. on 18:33:54 6/17/2001 I agree that they sound like a modern couple and that moves of this sort are not unusual. I'm confused about the FBI offices in foreign places. ""L"" Posted by JR on 19:40:40 6/17/2001 I didn't say you started a rumor, I said "rumors get started like this." There is a difference. ;-\ Now, seems to me, the Ramsey's have been out of the country since the death of JonBenet. Wasn't even a year was it, when they went to Spain? We recently heard a rumor Ratsy was in the Holy Land. Why is it people under the umbrella of suspicion for the murder of their child can come and go at will, but the detective who almost let seeking justice for their child destroy his health, can't take a trip? Remember, Steve and the Mrs. are virtually newlyweds - I believe they've only been married about 5+ years. Would you want your wife to go to a foreign country alone (of course thie question presumes it was a job transfer for the Mrs.) By the way, I never realized "suspects" were allowed to leave the country before being cleared as suspects. Now - what can Y'all tell me about "District Court" jury duty? Seems they are looking at me as a possible juror. And by the way "L," what the heck did you do with poor Nedd? "Sometimes" Posted by Sabrina on 19:29:10 6/17/2001 People working for a large company with international offices do not have much of a say if and where they get transferred. Sometimes it is detremental to a career to turn a transfer down. When I worked for the U.S. Government they paid for all expenses in transferring me to Europe, including shipping my car and plane tickets for family members. The only thing I had to pay for was my cat's plane ticket. My sister at one time worked for a large international accounting firm and they did the same thing when she transferred to France. In fact, they even purchased her house for above market value. Private companies are even more generous with relocation expenses. I am sure the plane ticket was paid for by the company that is transferring his wife. Jameson even has Steve Thomas getting a divorce! We don't know what the situation is,it is Steve's private business and as much as Ellique wants to lynch Steve Thomas it is ludicrous to even think that he took defense fund moneys to flee the country. "Defense Fund Money" Posted by JR on 19:43:51 6/17/2001 Almost forgot to add that the funds coming into Steve's defense fund do not go to Steve, so IMHO it is pure rumor and speculation that he would be using those funds to go play in Germany. The funds go directly to the bank and Steve is provided with a list of names for those who have contributed, so that he can write thank you notes.
