"Patsy's Reunion News 2" Posted by lilac on 13:28:53 7/09/2000 Let's start a second thread for the WebTV people (including moi).It appears that JR and PR signed the church's guestbook. I can't make a link, but go to http://www.gbgm-umc.org/stoutmemorial/ and click on the guestbook. An entry from yesterday appeared to me to be from them. I saw the entry a few moments ago, but now I can't seem to access the guestbook (maybe it's been disabled so we beercan collectors can't see it?!). Their computer re-read the & sign and automatically added the amp; part, that must have happened to the Ramsey's or who ever posted that message. It also came up the first time around as an error that's why I reposted it. Even if the message was a hoax that church still did allow them to use the facilities. Do you suppose there was a charge? "More of the soap opera" Posted by fancy on 14:34:36 7/09/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 14:34:36, 7/09/2000 Sorry, I didn't get to post this last night. The misfits were also on the 11:00 news. They talked to them for a very few seconds. Patsy was lamenting that five years ago when she was here, JB was with her and enjoyed playing with the kids. You just never know what will happen in your life she said. They talked to a couple of Parkersburg citizens and they didn't seem too impressed. One lady said they are profiting from the death of their daughter. Amen. Well, I guess that's all the view I'll get till they slap the handcuffs on. Oh, I forgot. She said she got butterflies in her stomach when they flew over her school. She also said she wouldn't mind moving back. Maybe she can't be the toast of the town in Atlanta. "They had a computer" Posted by MJenn on 15:47:51 7/09/2000 on one of their book selling shows this past spring, maybe with Fox; this show featured their gutted Atlanta home, and the most curious exchange I'll get to in a minute. There was lots of video of John sitting in their condo (I'm assuming) at a tall table/desk upon which sat a computer and monitor and John was working his mouse. (It was curious, because it looked like a hall/display table--can't think of the name of this piece of furniture at this moment because I'm peri-menopausal or am developing early alzheimers, but it's similar to a couch table that sits against the back of a couch--rather than a desk--a console table?) On the wall behind the table was a large, maybe 18th or 19 century landscape painting, I believe (didn't get a good look at it), with an enormous gilded frame. They may not be online, but they sure had a computer. The interesting little exchange I mentioned earlier--John and Patsy were rambling on about remodeling their home as they sat on the stairs in the bare and exposed interior. They embellished on how open it would be, with lots of light, not at all like their Boulder home, where there were so many nooks and crannies and winding stairs and halls that they once had a guest who, even after a couple of days, said she and her daughter needed to leave bread crumbs when they left their room so they could find their way back. Then it hit them what they were saying. They glanced at each other, and without skipping a beat, started talking about how the Boulder home was large, but not that confusing, that it had the same thing every house has, bedrooms on the top floor, living and kitchen on the ground, and a basement, no big deal. I'm sure you all got it, but just to be perfectly clear on my take, they started out confirming exactly what the police and others have said about how an intruder would have a difficult time finding his way around the Boulder home, then realized what they were doing and without batting an eye and in the same sentence contradicted what they had just said. Cover up. It's so hard to keep your lies straight. And now they won't even get to live in those open spaces. Oh, well, maybe they could find a suitable cave in West Virginia. Sorry I got off topic, but this is one of my favorite examples of how they speak with forked tongue. What a couple of cut ups! I'll look and see if there's a transcript of this on Fox's internet site, if anyone is interested. Or you can do it for me, since ya'll usually have it posted before I can hit "Post Message" you're so far ahead of me. "Ramsey WSAZ /Reunion Report" Posted by Dunvegan on 21:54:47 7/09/2000 Ramseys visit West Virginia By WSAZ NewsChannel 3 PARKERSBURG, WV, July 9 - Patsy Ramsey was back in her hometown of Parkersburg this weekend for her 25th year high school reunion. Some people in the community have mixed feelings about the Ramsey's return. They stopped at a private party to meet with friends before the reunion. "When we flew in this morning I looked down and saw the high school," Patsy said. "It's the heart of the city and my heart started racing. It's just anticipation and excitement to be back." Patsy is expected to meet with about 90 of her old classmates at the private party. In addition to meeting and greeting, the Ramseys are also signing copies of their book "Death of Innocence." "I think they are profiting off their daughter's death, and to be signing it in a church too doesn't seem right to me," Angela Duckworth, Parkersburg, said. Even though some came to pass judgment about the Ramseys, Patsy said she was just glad to be home with friends. "Many of them met Jon Benot five years ago," Patsy said. I've been to all my class reunions and she was here and had fun and met a lot of the children five years ago. So there's no explanation needed when you are amongst friends." Kim Davis graduated a year behind Pasty Ramsey. She said she is not sure what to believe. "I don't know," Davis said. "I had mixed emotions about it, it's pretty tragic. I'm sure she loved her daughter very much, but it seems kinda odd that it's been four years and nobody's found out anything yet." Patsy Ramsey has been back to Parkersburg several times since her daughter's death and she entertains the idea of moving back home soon. Last night's gathering was the final reunion event for Parkersburg High School's Class of 1975. The Ramseys said they plan to go back to their home in Atlanta after the reunion.
