"Re: The Continuity of Justice Watch" Posted by Dunvegan on 10:28:37 7/16/2001 To Chris Wheeler First, I want to simply say, "Thank you" to Chris for coming to the decision to continue the Justice Watch forum. It isn't an easy decision to make…and could not have been made lightly. I am grateful that Chris both chose to trust this member with the continued administration of the forum, and that she also wanted this place to live and continue to grow. It is impossible to administer Justice Watch without considering the history and growth that Dan, and then Chris, have brought to this forum. It is a legacy, an inheritance, and a trust. I appreciate the vote of confidence Chris has given me, and shall endevour to never betray that confidence. Chris: It is a altruistic calling you pursue. A veterinarian is special angel caring for the most voiceless of creation's kingdom. Healing is nothing if not a blessing for those innocents that receive that gift. There are some who take up medicine for humans in pursuit of the salary above all else. Just as forum administration is mostly a for-love-not-for-money proposition, so is veterinary. It seems to me that the pursuit of veterinary is just the logical continuum of selflessness that you have expressed in the cause of justice and compassion for the voiceless in society, for a murdered child, and in pursuit of Justice for JonBenet. To the Justice Watch Community The trust and confidence of the constituency of Justice Watch is not a given: it requires my earning it through service. And, service is the operative word here. I am grateful for the kind well wishes that have been expressed. I shall work to represent, facilitate, and enrich the member experience at Justice Watch, and shall also be mindful and vigilant that I never betray the needs of the Justice Watch community by hasty or unthinking administration. Beginning August 1st, 2001, I shall make myself available to step to the wheel and, with employing what I hope shall be a light and sensitive touch, hold JW steady as she goes, take care of the administrivia like thread management, archiving, bandwidth considerations, data backups and restores, and suchlike. I am not hyper-compulsive or micro-management oriented. Yet, I am also here to arbitrate, protect, and facilitate the interests of the forum and the JW community. I am here to learn. I am here to listen. I am here to serve. Be involved. Give me feedback. Long-term members and their observations and thoughts are a precious resource: e-mail me regarding your ideas and/or concerns. Lurkers and newbies are encouraged to directly e-mail me (especially if they feel they are not yet feeling completely comfortable yet posting in public mode.) My e-mail box is open for business 24/7. Please use it. You can find my address at the bottom of this message. I promise to read and respond to each and every e-mail, but please note that on occasion I may only reply with a short message due to restraints of work and life. But, I pledge to you that if you write, I your message will be read, and I will respond. Remember: Justice Watch is your forum; your community, your democracy. Help me make it what you, the pursuit of justice, and JonBenet need it to be. With JfJBR, Dunvegan
