"THE CASE AGAINST THE RAMSEYS IS GONE 4" Posted by shadow on 08:14:12 7/25/2000 I've started this new thread because #3 is just too long, and at the request of some nuts called shadow and watching you - both of whom swear they aren't going to post here. Isn't it time for a "Sludge Report"? (And remember, Shadow, after I taught you to use a little html way back when, you promised my hat would appear in every Sludge report :-)) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 4. "A kick in the pants needed?" Posted by Greenleaf on 10:52:37 7/25/2000 The title of this thread, started by our illustrious, shadow,"A case against the Ramseys is gone," inspired me to revisit some of my old ideas. Throughout these threads, especially of late, we have been all over the board; sometimes propounding irreverent schemes, far removed from the pertinency of this case. Our central focus should be on the crime and all people and places relevant to the crime. IMHO, it's a small group, with two, possibly three people involved. IMHO, it's a relatively small place; with a few rooms involved. Just about all else, IMHO, is extraneous. The Rams have been throwing extraneous darts out since day one. Some have landed successfully in the good nature of public opinion; among people who do not want to believe that parents could ever commit such a horrendous crime. Some have landed in wastelands, AND SOME have been like boomerangs; coming back to slap them silly. In my mind, I have heard enough to believe that JonBenet was sexually abused; probably by JR, maybe PR too. In my mind, I have heard more than enough to believe that the parents were responsible for JBR's demise. Color me simple-minded gray; I don't care, but I believe this is a simple case, gone awry, because: 1.) The culprits desperately want to muddy the waters, so that their sins will be hidden dark and deep forever. 2.) The insatiable human mind hungers for more than simple answers. 3.) We love the dramatics involved; even when we have to create, from our vivid imaginations, certain nonexistent events. I think about that little murdered girl, our fellow citizen, buried six feet under the cold, clay Georgia soil, and I weep for her. May God bless America and may God give a little kick in the pants to the apathetic justice system in Boulder, Colarado. Amen. "responding to posts on #3" Posted by fly on 09:31:22 7/26/2000 Holly - I believe the sheriff was aware of MB because he lived next door to where MB was staying and had been talking with him almost daily. Or do I have the characters confused? ericasf - Proving a negative is not considered a kosher request, logically speaking. How about proving that the Ramseys did have political influence (via the Dem/Clinton links to Haddon) in CO and used it, instead? Hint: This is a well-ridden nag of an idea. Lots of people have said that such and such could be evidence of political pressure, but I can't remember anything that even the most dedicated believers could come up with that clearly indicated the use of political influence. Plus, given that people of varying political persuasions have been involved in the oversight functions of this case, and the fact that the Gov. seat is now Rep., it's kid of hard to believe that political pressure has kept the Ramseys free (I assume that is where you are headed?). "FLY" Posted by ericasf on 09:46:02 7/26/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 09:46:02, 7/26/2000 First of all, I never even posted in this thread. Second of all, where do you live? Are you surrounded by politics? Like somewhere in DC? I AM. I see how politics really works. Day to day. In and out. I see the corruption of politics. The corruption, which there definitely is, in Boulder and Colorado for that fact is miniscule compared to the Fed Gov't. So please don't try and tell me that political corruption only happens within one party or the other. It's equal opportunity there. They don't care whether the person is Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, whatever; as long as a person has an in with another person in power, corruption has existed and will exist because we don't live in a perfect world. BUt I also do know that we do have good politicians out there as well. Some that still believe in the American way. NOt the fraudulent way. And those people keep my faith going. It is pretty common practice to post a reply to the continuation thread, if one so chooses. So what's the problem? You cited the links between Haddon and Clinton, a Democrat. Haddon is considered to have influence in the Democratic party, I believe, not the Republicans. If you want to propose a conspiracy theory involving multi-parties, go right ahead. Past discussions have tended to focus on the more likely, party-restricted influence, but that was less than successful, IMO, so a new approach is probably smart. Just don't forget to provide something resembling evidence and to avoid asking people to prove a negative. It's your idea; you should be the one to do the work and prove it. Feel free to also cut the crap. Yes, I know political corruption occurs in all parties. Whether Haddon is #1 on the Most Corrupt/Best-Arm-Twister list doesn't mean much unless there is evidence he used his "skills" to stymie this case. Care to show evidence that he did that? As I said, there are things that might be consistent with his use of political influence, but there are also good reason to dismiss that as actually occurring. I cited one of the reasons. Debate me with facts and logic, if you want, but forego the personal insults. As to where I live, it's Indiana. A pretty tame place except with the militia folks get antsy. However, I've also lived in the deep South where political influence and good-ol-boys are like kudzu. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 11. Posted by shadow on 10:37:21 7/26/2000 "However, I've also lived in the deep South where political influence and good-ol-boys are like kudzu." lol I've lived in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and virginia - can attest to that statement! BUT, I lived in NJ with a Mafia godfather as my land-lord... so it's everywhere. I've worked with the Fed Gov. (as a contractor) for over 32 years - IMHO, most of the corruption in Washington is in congress not Gov workers... and I've got to tell you guys, the private industry folks that bribe everything in sight got to take a little heat too. shadow [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] ARCHIVE REMOVE
