"2 + 2 = Fraud" Posted by Ginja on 08:45:18 8/03/2000 I'm referring to this latest mockery set forth by Ramsey Team Spinner Charlie Brennan. Dear me, even our own Dan Abrams has fallen for this lark. Maybe Ainsworth didn't know about the 14 year old's intruder. Besides Brennan and Abrams, he's probably one of the very few who didn't know. Do the words "red herring" sound familiar? What similarities are there between this intruder and JonBenet's sick, incestuous parents? The girls took dance lessons from the same studio! My...that certainly is weighty information, eh? How many other girls from that studio have been attacked? One of the biggest DISsimilarities in this case is the 14 year old's mother walked in and stopped the attack. Too bad Patsy didn't do the same! Instead, she helped cover up her husband's mess. Why would this intruder start out by attacking and killing a 6 year old...wait nine months...and then sexually assault a 14 year old? The discrepancy in criminal dynamics on this one issue alone should have been enough for Brennan, Abrams and Smit to realize...this ain't the same guy! Armistead knew about this intruder! So I think it's pretty safe to assume the Ramseys are once again lying, saying they just "learned" of this issue last week! There's so much chum on this 'intruder' issue that I don't even know where to begin! [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 1. "Ginja" Posted by Seeker on 09:02:55 8/03/2000 don't you find it interesting that this "intruder" jumped out the 2nd floor window and didn't set off the alarm, but "must" have sneaked in through an unlocked door to enter the home? Yeah, I might believe in their new "theory" if they hadn't already contradicted themselves. Did they check for any nearby trees? Was there anything he could have climed on to get in through the window to begin with, and more importantly, did the daughter have a boyfriend and what did he look like? Did they check with the kids at school? Amazing how this old information is suddenly "new" now, isn't it? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 2. "Perhaps....." Posted by mee too on 09:29:09 8/03/2000 Geraldo and Dan Abrams should read Justice Watch more often....Since it was discussed at lenght here....It seems pretty fishy a TOP reporter like Abrams camped out in Boulder at the JUSTICE CENTER would NOT have heard this story....Give us a break!! The next time the Ramsey take a LIE detector test....How about asking them..... Heck Jameson knew about this story...She's in constant contact with the Ramsey's and Pam.....You mean to tell us...she didn't tell them.....(Hir your slipping) My Gawd I'm surprised the intruder wasn't reportedly wear the Famous VELVET SEX Glove......and masterbating (sp?) in the hall or closet...... To bad Patsy and John choose to sleep one whole floor above JonBenet and John takes a sleeping pill.....!!!! There WILL Be Justice For YOU JonBenet!!! .......(Mee Too) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 3. "Ginja " Posted by Sylvia on 11:02:10 8/03/2000 Already thought it was some kind of a pathetic spin. Just posted my answer to the whole thing on the following page http://www.lepassagenouveau.com/jonbenet/parallel_cases.htm To me it's just another PR stunt and it isn't working. Posted by Ayeka on 11:13:35 8/03/2000 Taking the story strictly at face value, has anyone stopped to consider or investigate the possibility that this is a 'copycat'? By that I mean, is it possible that, with the information about JonBenet's murder that had been available to the public at the time, someone could have tried to imitate what they thought had been done to JonBenet (as far as the intruder theory goes)? Just a thought. I'm taking this whole story with a huge chunk of salt, myself.... Forgive me if this has been discussed already, I have had out of town guests and have been unable to read all of the threads. "Why would Steve Ainsworth" Posted by Holly on 11:30:40 8/03/2000 know about it anyway? Isn't he a Sheriff's deputy associated with the DA most of the time? I think the report was made to the BPD. Unless involved by Hunter, I'm not sure Ainsworth would even know about this. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 9. "Copycat?" Posted by Ginja on 17:41:49 8/03/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 17:41:49, 8/03/2000 I thought that, too. Afterall, by September '97, the story was pretty much out there about JBR's "intruder". But I also thought that a lot might have to do with the fact that this perp probably saw JBR's perps getting away with a lot worse, so maybe he could, too. Ha! Then again, maybe this perp might have "seized" the opportunity, seeing how everyone in Boulder were so focused on Ramsey, they wouldn't pay any attention to a 'minor' crime of 'simple' sexual assault of a 'nobody' by a nobody. Know what I mean? I don't think Abrams was so much believing this was a new scoop, than he was in believing there were 'members' of the investigation who had no idea it had occurred. I thought on Geraldo he said members of the DA's office. But then Ainsworth's been named. He's not 'with' the DA's office, he's either with the sheriff's department or the Denver DA's office. Not every member of the investigation is going to be aware of every detail of that investigation. And in Ainsworth's case, this second assault may not have even been in his jurisdiction, explaining why he didn't know about it. Shame on him if Boulder's in his jurisdiction. He should have known about it, regardless of whether or not there were any links to JBR. I would be absolutely shocked...traumatized...if this perp was the same perp who murdered JonBenet. He's really screwed up on 'who' he attacks. There's a big differece between a 6 year old and a 14 year old. Pedophiles would have nothing to do with someone as "old" as 14. Also, if he was a murderer, he wouldn't have run for it when the mother showed up...he'd have probably tied her up, finished off the daughter, then killed the mother. If he was bold enough, and took the time to plan, invading this home and hiding in dark corners to make his move, he wouldn't have just "given up" and run. I can't stand it when something like this gets publicized as it has been, as a "significant development"...even talking about the possibility that Ramseys 'story' is now plausible because of this other attack. That's absurd! More disgusting is JohnBoy rushing to get on the airwaves to point out how "significant" this "development" is. The only 'significance' to this latest development is it's absurdity! Edited because when I get really frustrated, I can't spell! :-) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 10. "Danny Boy wants to score" Posted by sabrina on 18:30:33 8/03/2000 an interview. All the others got one but he. That's why the change of tune. I hardly see any similarities, and it's ludicrous to think a pedophile would go after a 6 year old and then a 14 year old. Danny, I used to love ya way back when..... "two different crimes" Posted by darby on 18:38:27 8/03/2000 Virtually NOTHING about JBR's attack is similar to the 14-year-old's, especially when you figure that JBR was probably not killed by an unknown assailant! But let's take a look at this from, say, Lou Smit's POV. Smit contends that the intruder who killed JBR hung out and hid in an empty Ramsey house, waiting for the family to get home. It looks like the attacker of the second child hung out and hid at HER home, waiting for the child and her mother to get back home. Smit's intruder then snuck into JBR's room while she slept. The second child's attacker did the same. Both intruders digitally molested their victims. Sure, JonBenet got killed, but that's only because Patsy didn't intercept the assault and scare the intruder away. Both victims were female children attending the same Boulder dance studio. These two crimes sound identical! NOT! There are several big differences between the two crimes: JBR's killer was productive while waiting around her house. He apparently felt that as long as he was wreaking havoc anyway, he may as well produce a ransom note to see how much he could milk the fat cat for. There was no such ransom note in the case of the 14-year-old child. This is a major difference, IMO. Smit contends that JBR's killer brought with him a stungun and a garrote. The stungun is in question, but a garrote was there for sure. Plus, Smit feels that the JBR intruder stungunned and garroted his victim while she slept, in an effort to neutralize her so he could carry her down to the basement to perform the sexual assault. Not only were no such devices used on the 14-year-old child, but her attacker made no attempt to subdue her and carry her off the way JBR's killer did. Instead, he quietly assaulted the child in her own bedroom. To my knowledge, JBR's assault did not involve oral copulation, as was the case with the 14-year-old child. And while the 14-year-old's attacker spoke her name, JBR's killer uses the impersonal "your daughter" in the ransom note; no mention was made of her name, even in writing. These are two different crimes. The few similarities could be written off to a copy cat, but it doesn't seem the two crimes are alike enough to have been committed by the same individual. I'll try to keep an open mind, though. I'll await the palm readings. (LOL) [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 12. "Peterson" Posted by canadiana on 19:33:33 8/03/2000 During last night's Geraldo, Peterson very clearly stated the DA's office and Lou Smit were AWARE of this case from the start. IF this was a 'hugely significant' development, you would think someone would have checked this out further. They all look so incompetant to us; but what about to those who might not be 'up to snuff' on this case? Another poster (sorry ??) stated that it 'wasn't working'...oh yes it is. There are probably thousands of people now questioning this mess. Geez, even Geraldo sounded like he might change his previous tune. Dan Abrams sounds like he is furious at someone/everyone for possibly burying this 'parallel case'. He states loudly, if the Rs knew about this they would have put it in their book! Of course it is working. Reasonable doubt all over the place. I maintain JR is NOT broke and knows how to spend his money well. Clever man, very clever man. Puke. "Ainsworth" Posted by fly on 07:26:09 8/04/2000 Ginja - Wasn't Ainsworth on load to the DA's office from the Sherriff's Dept? If so, then he would have been considered part of the DA team. I agree that a major reason this story got Abrams all excited is the idea that the DA's group didn't know about it. If the BPD had been smart, they would have informed the DA of the case and its similarities/dissimilarities and explained why they weren't pursuing it further. I suspect that a lot of this occurred when relations were pretty bad between the two groups, and that that might have influenced the BPD's actions.
