Someone thinks that means it's all over then. I hope not, unless they've decided to use the Grand Jury with the Umbrella People. I wonder why he is leaving early? He's not interested in John? What's going on? I would think he would stay, and offer suggestions even if he's not doing the actual questioning. It would be a shame to waste any of this time with the Rammers. They deign to speak to the investigators so seldom. They are granting an audience to the peasants, why not take full advantage of it? Posted by docg on 10:15:48 8/29/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 10:15:48, 8/29/2000 We waste too much energy on these forums castigating "the Ramseys" and forget how truly awful this particular "investigation team" has been. The ONLY strategy they've ever had has been "pound hard on Patsy and hope she'll crack." I really hope I'm wrong, but all signs are that this new session was just more of the same same same. It's not working, it never worked and it won't work any better in future than it is now. What we're witnessing today is the last feeble Hurrah of one of the most totally incompetent investigation teams in the history of law enforcement. It seems clearer to me every day that if these folks had been on the ball, the case would have been solved within the first month. OF COURSE it was an inside job. OF COURSE both Patsy and John have been lying. These investigators know that! If it wasn't obvious in the past, it certainly is obvious now from what they've written in their book and what they've stated in their many public interviews, so laced with contradictions and obvious lies that the vast majority of the public now finds them utterly reprehensible. So WHAT is the problem here? WHY more and more and more of the same DUMB questions about totally inconclusive fibre evidence, totally pointless questions over whether or not Burke had adequate security and why? NO ONE went through that window!!!!! But the window was BROKEN, debris was underneath it and a suitcase was set up underneath it. If this is not a crystal clear sign of a staged break-in then what COULD it be a sign of? So WHY worry about how many people had keys or whether or not John checked all doors to be sure they were locked, why not just see the obvious and move on from there to an INDICTMENT? Indict them BOTH for obstruction of justice, slap them BOTH in prison with NO bail and THEN ask your questions. Law enforcment deals on a daily basis with crimes where at least two suspects point a finger at one another. If such cases can be dealt with, then why not THIS one? Just because she answered alot of questions doesn't mean they were trying to get her to crack. To me it just means they had alot of questions about her prior statements. And that could be because she has run her mouth for years and given them lots of concerns and conflicting explanations. They should use this trip as a basis for a 2nd Grand Jury. Can't you just see the detectives taking turns "being" Patsy while they acted out the interviews. Ha! I would think that BPD wouldn't want this to be a lost opportunity with a lot of "if only's" when it was all over. And don't we think the FBI cares what happens in this case? Ramsey's have gave leads, not names. The answered all questions put to them, except those that centered around forensic evidence. Patsy feels they still have doubt and by talking with them, for two days they are not suddenly going to do an "about face," - the only way they can do that is if she "hands over the killer" and she can't do that. John want's peace for his family "we want closure", his family's name has been destroyed - no interest in restoring it. Patsy's says they wanted our help and we were here to do that. Wood says these people (J&P) are not fools and the last time he checked he wasn't a fool.FLOL He ascerts, that this was no PR stunt.... contrary to repeated statements made, this family HAS cooperated with police. I have it on tape and I went WHOE!!!! This man just unconsicously named Patsy the killer. And no wonder she said she can't hand over the killer. The way she SAID that was creepy. It was more along the lines of "I WON'T hand over the killer." There's tons of stuff in that interview. They now like Beckner so it's time for Beckner to slam bang them! JR obviously did not want PR talking. And that remark about Burke. JR was saying that the BPD said no one was cleared and Patsy piped up with "Except Burke." And then she smiled. I got chills again. Again jumping to Burke's defense. Did the BPD say NO ONE was cleared, inferring that Burke was also uncleared? And PR is trying to muddy the waters on national TV by saying he's cleared? What about JAR and GPP? Are they now uncleared? What's THAT's all about? docg, again I disagree. I think they came away with something - hopefully a new GJ. Maybe Patsy is the killer after all. He also objected to questions about fiber evidence in the case. "Why not interview John?" Posted by sarah on 12:02:28 8/29/2000 You know what I think? I think Kane and or the BPD realized early on in the interviews that little Linwoody was gonna put a thorn in their direction. That with him there whining and pawing the rug, little if any, progress could be made. I think they regrouped around lunch time yesterday, and a decision was made (by somebody) to call an early halt to the interviews - what all the reasons are, we do not know. I do hope the Boulder 7 came in as a team and left as a team. But I think either Kane has had enough of their melodramatics, and is willing to bide his time, or, or,or, the whole thing really wasn't planned as well as they thought. And since she was wearing that red Christmas sweater on that fateful night PLUS all the next morning, any fibers in the room itself don't seem a big problem for Patsy. Red fibers from the sweater anywhere on Jon Benet wouldn't be a big problem since she was with her sweatered mother all the night before. I've heard a lot of posters today talking about a Patsy's jacket and if the jacket has "black and red fibers" then that's a whole different ball game than the sweater. Can't see why the jacket wouldn't just come off once you walk in the door, instead of it having it's fibers float around to the basement. ;o) Picture Patsy's dismay if she actually never went to the basement with Jon Benet (or her body) and it was John that had carried her jacket's fibers into the room and the paint tray. That doesn't mean I don't see Patsy as a central figure in Jon Benet's murder -- only that I can see her avoiding the scene in the basement. That looks like John's handywork to me. "Well, good ole Larry Schiller" Posted by sds on 15:07:38 8/29/2000 just admitted on MSNBC that those pesky red fibers were ALSO on the blanket that jbr was wrapped in. Now I firmly believe that this places Patsy directly and inescapedly at the crime scene. These were not transfer fibers, these came directly from Patsy. If you have read any crime books, you know this is a powerful investigative tool.(finding fibers at the crime scene in 3 different places.) So now I think that it is time to call a Grand Jury for the Umbrella People, don't you, Edie Pratt? Looks like Patsy did the murder, but the jury is out on JR's involvement, ala Incest. Perhaps those of you are right that ole Pats did it to save jbr from a fate such as hers at the hands of her father, the elusive Donald Paugh. Yes, now the pieces are coming together. Thank you, BPD.
