"swampers" Posted by austingirl on 11:24:20 9/07/2001 The swampers are an illiterate, hateful bunch of poorly educated losers (notice the correct spelling, it's not "loosers"). The venom they have for Steve Thomas, a man of integrity who couldn't stomach the outrageous political machinations of the Boulder DA and wants justice for a murdered little girl, is truly breath-taking. The fact that they ignore the evidence and irrationally defend the real perps, while toadying up to an obsessed Ram-fan, is even more unbelievable. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 34. "Fly and y'all" Posted by Watching you on 11:57:11 9/07/2001 Candy of CS gives this information: The three points recanted by process server Lawrence Mahoney on the witness stand today from his previous testimony were: 1) Talking to Steve Thomas through the storm glass door. 2) Seeing Steve Thomas's picture on the back of Steve's book and using that to identify him. 3) And, The point of contention between Lawrence Mahoney and Walter Barrett - that Lawrence Mahoney says now he did not sign the return of service in front of Walter Barrett. Supposedly, Walter Barrett says Lawrence Mahoney definately did sign the return of service in his presence. Lawrence Mahoney did not recant his previous testimony of going to the house to serve Steve Thomas, and he did not recant his testimony saying he ran after someone after he says someone ran for the house. Only the three points I listed above were recanted by Mahoney today on the witness stand. Mahoney cannot be prosecuted for what he recanted on the stand today. Today, the prosecutor in the Miller case, Mr. Hall, will meet with Dave Thomas, Jefferson County District Attorney, about whether or not to bring charges against either or both of the men. Steve Thomas can also file a civil lawsuit on his own. There is a belief that the quashing of the warrant for Steve Thomas will also, hopefully, lead to the quashing of the warrant against Fleet White. **************** [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 33. Candy basically said we were all idiots for speculating that the attny quit for just the very reasons that came out in court today (I firmly believe that's why he did quit). And just remember that "they" (her "sources") wouldn't talk to the media, but they'd talk to an internet poster so she could blab it to the world huh? Makes you go hmmmmmmm. I don't always agree with Thomas but thought he'd win this one. He'd have been a fool to let it continue this long unless he had something solid on his side. In this case, he knew he hadn't been served properly. I'm with Fly. Don't see a conspiracy here ... unless you count the possible deal between the process server and his "witness". This is probably the reason FW has seemed to want to continue his hearing until after the Thomas ruling. Ordinarily I would be right there with you, Gem and Fly on the conspiracy angle. There have been too many instances of unprofessional behavior in this case - most of it right in the DA's office, but I suspect most everyone knows where I stand on Hunter and his merry little band of bandits by now. Don't ever think that Hunter wouldn't have vengence on his mind with Steve Thomas. Not saying that's the way of it, just saying it's not really so far out there to say there could have been hanky panky going on behind the scenes. With that tribe, anything is possible. When you think about it, there are several with motives to try to frame Steve Thomas - the Ramseys, Jameson (yes, jameson, because she hates his guts), AlexfreakingHunter, DeMuth, Hofstrom... It's not as farfetched as one might think, really, especially in that corrupted piece of real estate. Sorry, I don't trust Boulderdom. I don't trust the Ramseys. However, I see the odds of some conspiracy to get ST sort of the same way I saw the claims that somebody planted the glove at OJ's house. At the time the glove had to have been planted, nobody knew if OJ would have an airtight alibi. Same thing for ST. You don't cook up a trap (and try to go through with it) if you aren't sure your guy is without an alibi. Tantalizing tidbit somewhere that the PI had worked for Haddon et al. "First of all" Posted by v_p on 18:58:02 9/07/2001 I don't think anyone is "excited" about the PI, process server. And what Gem says is absolutely true... my daughter's daddy was a PI and worked for a lot of attorneys, and met a lot of the attorney's clients, and subsequently worked for them independently. A man is getting a divorce, he asks his attorney to hire an especially under-handed investigator to get the goods on his wife; even if he has to fudge a little. The investigator does his job so well the client asks him to do another job later on. This time he wants to set up a business associate who pist him off... get the goods. Walter probably did do some work for Haddon at some point, and made contacts in the process. I think the process server probably went to serve Thomas, but didn't try all that hard to get the job done. He's not lying about everything, just what's important. All JMO, of course. "wouldn't" Posted by Tricia on 00:32:57 9/08/2001 it be nice if somehow, someway we could follow the path of this process server right back to the Ramseys? Why was it so important for this guy to lie about not serving Steve? Why not just say " Sorry I'll keep trying". But no. The guy has to create this big production about a guy in overalls running into the house and blah blah blah. Sounds a bit over dramatic. Sounds like how Patsy would make up a story. OK I am really going to be now. Tricia [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 55. "HaHaHaHaHaHaHa" Posted by Watching you on 08:39:20 9/08/2001 Ha! Mrs. Brady's column is a hoot today. What a great day yesterday was, leading into a fantastic weekend, lalalalalala PERJURY... That's what it's all about. These two guys committed perjury. Lalalalalala Jameson made a Freudian slip? She or someone impersonating her posted a few days ago that she was in jail and the BORG can rest easy. Then she came back and said "not" in jail. Oh my, not why would she even bring jail up? Dear, dear, does this mean jail is a distinct possibility? Does it mean she is under investigation? Of course she is. Oh man, I tell you, what goes around, comes around. You lie, it catches up with you. Anyone telling lies and spinning stories about others needs to wise up. It will bite you in your arse every time. And, I won't feel sorry for you when it does. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 56. "Yes" Posted by Tricia on 08:54:24 9/08/2001 how right you are Watching You. That is what I live by: WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. Both good and bad. Steve Thomas has held his ground because he has told the truth. He is standing strong against the Ramsey's and all their side shows. Steve's good Karma is coming back to him. Jammy on the other hand...hehehehe Ellique time to pay up my friend. Tricia [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 57. Now, does anyone care to wager on whether jameson is in hot water or not? Heh, thought not. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 58.
