I'm just trying to be respectful of how it's most efficient for the forum to run, especially for our Webbies, and that was requested to be limited to 50 posts per thread. I'd just like to make that clear, that neither Chris, nor anyone else, has asked me to start a different thread, or to start a nother thread due to ANY subject matter on the first thread. I've just been taking it upon myself to make a new "Part 2" thread whenever I see one go over 50 posts .... just do do my tiny little bit that I can to help the threads load well for all of us...... Here are the last few posts from the original Daily Thread from today... Carry on...... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 52. "no no L-XIV" Posted by Gemini on 13:03:22 10/04/2000 Please don't stop saying what you think ... for me or anybody. There's a major difference in voicing disagreement/displeasure and trying to beat people bloody. As long as we can realize one opinion does not the sum total of the person make (yep, WY, I believe that with all my heart. We are a multi-faceted lot ... not one-dimensional puppets.), maybe JW will survive. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 2. "Cliques, and Ginja" Posted by Paralegal on 13:18:33 10/04/2000 It's always interesting to see ourselves labeled as supporters of one particular poster or another. Perhaps we're all just advocates of free speech...but I am in no way advocating the bashing of other posters. Can't help but notice though that when the case slows down, the malice gets so thick around here it's disgusting. Here's to all our dearly departed ones like Lacey, Seeker, Mame, Candy...help me out here, who else has bailed? Let's all try to keep focused on what we're doing here and that our public rep in RL is at stake. Do we really want the internet sleuths being regarded as just a bag of nuts with no credibility???? Ginja, good luck in law school! I'm taking the LSAT in December...write me at paralegal48@hotmail.com and we'll "compare notes"! Posted by 7kluz on 13:15:52 10/04/2000 that this is not what you guys really want, because I've seen more than one forum go down due to the infighting of the posters. I thought this forum was created, to hopefully help in the fight for Justice For JonBenet Ramsey, but instead it has become a battlefield for some who choose to stay off topic with the constant bickering among each other. Maybe it is because we are bored since there has been nothing of any significance happening in the case, or maybe we are all stressed out for one reason or another. But, whatever the reason, it is certainly not productive, nor does it help in any way towards seeking justice for a tiny, almost forgotten little girl who was murdered in her own home, almost four years ago. Please, let's not let this turn into a "Jerry Springer" type forum, and call a truce. Surely we are all mature enough to do that. I have never used it. Forgot it was there. Who am I to tell anyone else that they can't write what they want to? No one here has written vulgarity. Just opinions, etc. And so we get bashed for it? I think not. Some people have indeed made accusations against people that have been cleared in the case. That's their problem. there is a disclaimer when you sign on. Basically, what you say is your opinion and yours alone!!!!!!! Why can't everyone be adults. I am not going to sit back aand not say what i think. LIke I said, if I get banned, so be it. Not once here have i heard the leader speak up. Still waiting. [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 6. "For Pete's Sake!" Posted by Greenleaf on 13:40:11 10/04/2000 Years ago, my elderly cousin was very ill and hospitalized. (I'll call him Pete) I never much liked Pete and avoided him whenever possible. My parents encouraged me to go visit Pete in the hospital. It took a lot of soul searching to finally get up the nerve to go see him. I absolutely dreaded making that trip. I was surprised at how frail he looked. Not wanting to kiss him, I put out my hand for a hand shake. He did something I will never forget. He took my hand, gently put it to his lips and lovingly kissed it. All the years of hostility, I had harbored for Pete, just melted away, and I saw him in a completely different light. Standing in the rain, for his grave side services, I was pleased that I had made peace with Pete. And, today, when I go visit his grave, I think of all the years I missed out on, because of my inability to be compassionate and tolerant. There are a lot of Mr. and Ms. Pete's here, at Justice Watch. There are a lot of me's here, too. When we loose our ability to be compassionate and/or tolerant, we loose all hope of sharing in our fellow human being's rich resources. There are many great people here, at JW. Their differences are what makes them interesting and unique. A little display of empathy would go a long way in altering this current tide of ill will. Please, let this 2nd Wednesday thread set the tone for a more positive, more vigorous forum. We are here, after all, because of our common interests in justice. Have a lovely Wednesday, and a much better Thursday and Friday. By Monday, let's put aside our differences and use our energies to help solve this seemingly never ending case. For Pete's sake, folks, let's get along. Jfjb Greenleaf [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 7. "Thanks, Mrs. Brady" Posted by MJenn on 14:02:33 10/04/2000 I had just about given up hoping there'd be much support for the letter campaign. Everyone here has more important things to fight over. Having a link and a word from you gives me hope that this isn't just a waste of time. By the way, Klutz, the best chance we've ever had at getting something done through OUR EFFORTS in this case is just sliding right through our fingers because everyone is so full of themselves. THIS IS NEWS. BIG NEWS. It's a most blatant misuse of power and breach of ethics that is UNQUESTIONABLY A VIOLATION OF OFFICE AND DUTY. Let me ask you this. If you read tomorrow that the Attorney General of the United States was appointing a special investigator to investigate allegations of obstruction of justice and misuse of office in the Bouler County DA's Office, would you think that is news? Then why aren't you all writing about how terrible THIS IS? Why aren't you all raising hell six ways from Sunday at the real culprits in this case instead of each other? You keep ignoring me. You keep ignoring this most IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY. WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES? I'm beating this drum. I'm tired, but I'm still beating this drum. I believed you when you said you were here for JONBENET. You seldom even mention her anymore. It doesn't matter how many theories we come up with. It doesn't matter if the killer stands up and confesses on the next Presidential Debate. If the DA won't prosecute, if the lawyers of that office can just skew this murder willy nilly for their own gain, if they can go to work for the prime suspects' best allies with impunity, THEN IT IS OVER!! And if you don't care, then what am I doing here? [ REMOVE ] [ ALERT ] [ EDIT ] [ REPLY ] [ REPLY WITH QUOTE ] [ TOP ] [ MAIN ] 8. "A Voice In the Wilderness..." Posted by Paralegal on 14:23:01 10/04/2000 NOTE: This message was last edited 14:23:01, 10/04/2000 MJenn, I for one hear you and am preparing a personalized version of your letter to Janet Reno. I have been advocating a removal of jurisdiction to the federal level on this case for most of it's life, and like you, believe this is the opportunity to accomplish it. If Reno decides the situation warrants an investigation, the Justice Dept. and FBI can step in. THAT's when we'll see justice for JonBenet! Sometimes, MJenn, it's very lonely at the top..... "MJenn" Posted by Gemini on 14:32:31 10/04/2000 Sounds like you've been doing some impressive things - activist wise. The main reason i'm reluctant to jump into this right now is because #1. I have a very strong feeling that IF this case moves forward, it'll be after the new DA is seated and #2. I'm not real sure there is sufficient evidence to prosecute either or both the Ramsey parents (and, essentially, that's what this is all about. Right?). We're making big assumptions if we think we know all the information within the investigation. Remember, ST has been out of the loop over 2 years, and Beckner (to his credit, I think) doesn't seem to be inclined to give away the farm. I think in my case, though, it's lonely at the bottom! Gem, I understand what you're saying about prosecuting the Ramseys and our lack of knowledge of the entire case. This is no longer just about whether or not a case has been made against the Ramseys. With the level of abuse of power in the DA's Office, we may never know. What Trip DeMuth has done in accepting this job and absolutely perpetuating an appearance of impropriety is just an extension of many allegations of unethical behavior and possible obstruction of justice in this case. Whether or not JonBenet's murder is ever solved, the DA's Office must be made to account for its behavior. Otherwise, if they lost this case for personal gain, they will never have to answer for it. It's either now or never. I, for one, don't think they should be above the law, especially since they swore to uphold it. DeMuth had no right to take that job. He benefited from holding his honored position in the DA's Office for 16 years. To now blow that off as if it counted for nothing because he can do better with a private firm, to dismiss the conflict of interest inherent in taking this job, to foster and perpetuate more than an appearance of impropriety, but an embracing of it, is unacceptable. The justice system in this country, fragile as it is, is all that stands between us and anarchy. Without it, we would not exist with any of the freedoms we so take for granted. I TAKE IT PERSONALLY WHEN A SWORN OFFICER OF THE COURT ENJOYS ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF HIS OFFICE AND THEN BETRAYS HIS DUTY TO IT! This is the heart of the JonBenet murder case. If a lawyer does not advocate zealously for his client, then he is in breach of his duties and should be disbarred. Without that code of ethics, then it's all deals on the golf course and justice is for sale. Trip DeMuth's client was JonBenet and the People of Colorado. HE CANNOT NOW JOIN THE TEAM OF THE PRIME SUSPECTS IN HER MURDER BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR HIM!! At the last press conference held by the Ramseys and Lin Wood, Patsy stood in front of many cameras and said the police are still only looking at her. She challenged them in an interview to arrest and try her. There is no question whom DeMuth is now aligned with. There are many questions about whom he was aligned with during his duty as a Boulder prosecutor, and this is a clear BREACH OF ETHICS, and POSSIBLY OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE for personal gain. As I said in the letter, THIS MUST BE INVESTIGATED BY AN IMPARTIAL AGENCY. Otherwise, another huge crack has surfaced in our justice system. THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO PASS JUST BECAUSE THOSE IN POWER WANT TO GET AWAY WITH IT! THEY ONLY SUCCEED IF WE LET THEM. WE MUST SPEAK OUT AGAINST THIS! You will NEVER know how that affected me. I could not explain it in the English language anyway. And Cassie, I saw all that rain and a truckload of alligators? My gosh, I be getting my gun with gators in all of that water. We did not get any of that over here on the west coast of Fla. I pray all will be dry soon. I want you to know that I have been misrepresenting myself for years here on the search for justice for JBR, for I am really a lamb instead of a racoon. lol Love, Ms.Rac.
